Can't cancel membership
I fulfilled my purchase agreement on this account. I then requested three times through their website, and direct email, to cancel this. Three months ago, they told me they cancelled it, but now I am receiving cards in the mail again requesting me to return them or the featured title will automatically be sent to me. It is difficult to reach them by phone as well...wait time can be as long as ten minutes or more. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP FOR THIS!!! The prices are not that great and it is not worth the hassle.

Fraudulent sign up
Either Disney Movie Club, or one of their affiliates signed us up for a fraudulent account. We had to cancel our credit card and they removed the charges from our account. But D.M.C. didn't stop sending us bills and notices for many months (still coming as of today). The credit card company already notified them that it was fraud, but I guess they are ignoring it. In any case, it's very irritating and they should have just canceled the membership when they were told it was fraud by the credit card bank. And then they should be dealing with whoever supplied them with the bad application or whatever it was since there was obviously some sort of kick back involved with the scam.

Credit card scam
I was just charged today with a charge of $25.90 because of this club. When I called and finally got to talk to someone they told me that the only way to cancel your account is to pay the full price of 75.00 or continue ordering 5 more movies within 2 years. After great debate on the phone with the customer service rep she finally told me that if you send back the initial 5 movies that were sent to you that once they recieve that product then your membership is cancelled and you recieve your money back. I was charged again because they apparently send you a movie every so often whether you want it or not and stick your card with a charge. This club is a huge scam and unless your a millionaire who wants to recieve disney movies then dont go anywhere near it on the web.

False Charges
I recently checked my bank account and noticed that there was over $25 missing from my account. I was surprised to find out that it was Disney Movie Club considering I did not receive anything in the mail or to my email. When I called to complain that I wanted my money back the women said that it had already shipped (oh how convenient) and that she couldnt refund me my money but I could return it through the mail if I wanted a refund. Which prettymuch meant I would have to pay for shipping on something I didn't order in the first place.
I would have understood if I didnt reply to the message to bill me anyway (which is a ridiculous rule by the way) but I didn't receive any kind of notice so I believe I was charged without reason.

Billing & Shipping Declined Movies
Disney sends a packet monthly with a "featured title" that the customer must decline in order for shipping and consequently billing to be avoided. However, it appears that in some instances, it is possible to decline a "featured title" and still receive it. Another little scam being pushed by Disney is that the "featured title" may not even fulfill the membership commitment. In our case, there is no way in the world my family would ever order 'The Prince of Persia' however, as I type this, Disney is sending that title along with another that was a "featured title" that I'm positive was declined. They've billed my card, the money is no longer mine it has become theirs and I have to wait until I get the DVDs, return them, and hope their customer service department feels charitable enough to credit the money back to my card. I've read other complaints and believe they are going to "credit my account" which I've informed them better be canceled or I'm running to the Ohio Attorney General. If you are considering membership in the Disney Movie Club - DON'T DO IT. THROW THEIR PROPAGANDA MATERIALS IN THE TRASH IMMEDIATELY!!! It looks good on the surface, but the plan absolutely SUCKS! And it is nearly impossible to get someone on the phone to deal with their screw-ups. Also, their computer system and their employees are flawless because I was told that I never declined those titles when I KNOW that I did. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. They will take your money and you'll play hell getting it back.

Everything about them
I REGRET becoming a member of Disney movie Club.com I just want to purchase the remaining movies to complete my obligation and cancel my membership. First off, there is never any movies available to purchase for $19.95. Everything is a lower price or higher, that's the first misconception. The second thing is there is n o contact number on the website. THe third thing is, I just purchased 4 movies strictly to complete my obligation and then cancel my membership (mind you, each movie costed $19.98 and one was $39.99), but upon looking at my obligation page, IT STILL SHOWS THAT I AM OBLIGATED TO PURCHASE 4 MOVIES. What is blank blank is going on. I thought disney was a repretable organization. I hope the consumer affairs department does something about this, force them to establish a contact number on the website and have employees manning the phones. Also, they are misrepresenting membership obligations to the public. It's all a big SCAM and they know it. THE WORDING IS MISLEADING. As soon as I can reach any one at "Disney movie club" 'm canceling my membership ASAP!!! I have enough problems with the economy the way it is right now. The last organization I ever thought I'd have to worry about was Disney. Like they say, don't trust anyone, no matter how squeaky clean they may appear on the outside. Do your homework. Anyhow, I got some numbers from this site which I'm going to try. 800/362-4587 for those with member numbers and 920/521-4015 for others.

Fraudulent credit card charges
A few weeks ago I got four Disney movies in the mail which I did not order. I tossed them. Then my credit card was charged $33.72 by this outfit. They make it nearly impossible to contact them or cancel online. I had to call my credit card company and dispute the bill.
Are there and District Attorneys or State Attorney Generals who care about this kind of consumer fraud? Apparently not. Oh, and what a shame that the Disney company tarnishes it’s good name by licensing with these kind of crooks.

Charging Me for Feature Selection I DECLINED
I check my bank account balance on a daily basis. I was surprised to see a withdrawal for the Disney Movie Club considering I have declined every "feature selection" since I signed up. The charge was then taken off my account. NOW today I checked my account and Disney Movie Club charged me AGAIN...I am on a fixed budget and every penny makes a difference to me...so when I saw that they did this and my bank charged me NSF fees I began the search to contact Disney Movie Club and to my surprise I found no format to contact this company. I am filing a complaint with my bank (hopefully they can get it resolved). I would tell anyone interested in joining this movie club...run away and run fast...they must have kept Walt Disney's scamming ways as a business motto.
