In April 2007 I responded to the advertising 9f
DirectTV and alllowed a young man from out of state to install a disk. For a few weeks I was able to get the channels they promised. Then it became impossible. After several calls they suggested I move the disk which was on my back fence. I am 85 years old and in a wheelchair. They finally sent two men who informed me that to get the channels I wished I must cut down two trees or have the dish installed on my roof. I did not wish to spend the hundreds of dollars to have the trees removed not did I wish to have my new rool violated for which I had spent $15ooo. I
called DirectTV. The person I talked to told me to put rabit ears to get my favorite channels When I said I wanted to cancel, he agreed and sent FedEX to pick up the equipment. Clearly, the installation was faulty. Trees get leaves. I did want to have a leaky roof again. Had I been told of these conditions to get my favorite channels, I never would have let them install the equipment in the first place. I have 55 years of good credit history which DirectTV is ruining. I believe it to be a form of blackmail. I plan to take them to court if they don't rescind the charge.
