We own a 2007 Dodge Caliber, love it, but I believe we have a safety hazard which the dealer refuses to take care of it because it doesn't occur when they have it in the shop.

Occasionally, the gear will lock in Park and we could not unlock it & would have to try and try again until it finally would go into Drive. We discovered a small opening to the right of the gear panel which I popped open the cap and there is a button inside. When we press on the button it releases the gear shift.

I feel this is a safety problem and should be taken care of my our Dodge dealership.
