Unfortunately the 2005 Dodge Neon which I still own is something I regreat most in my life. It became too expensive quickly and there was no way out because of the huge burried debt, I have had problems with it and this past summer had to put a new engine because the original one stopped running at around 73, 000 miles and it still needs a catalytic converter. It started with a cylinder misfire. The extended warranty was of no use because it expired at 70, 000 miles, I have been paying repairs completely out of my own pocket. I drove it a lot but don't use it to race or anything crazy, just for work, home and some travel. I have kept up it's maintenance, the problems make no sense. It has had a lot of frint end problems too. I can't refinance, trade-in or even repo it because I still owe over $10, 000 more than it's worth even after paying it for 4 years. I'm going to write a letter to the Attorney General to see if I can claim it as a Lemon. The vehicle has pretty much been hell, I have worked 3 jobs since I got it just to keep it and because of it haven't been able to save very much or do some things I have wanted to do like made time to go back to college. I was naive when I bought it and believed what sales reps told me at the dealership like, "you can afford the payments", "if you don't like it you can trade it in in a few years", "you can refinance in a few years"...and I initially went in to buy a used car and was pushed a lot to get a brand new one. Now I have the biggest regret I have made in my life. I tried talking to many people about a year after the purchase and again a few years after but I just got the run around. Chrysler Financial doesn't even do refinancing, or at least that's what they have told me. I haven't been happy will not ever refer poeple to Dodge of Bellvue or even buy a Dodge again.
Sincerely unhappy,
Jesus Villegas
