Don Lapre’s Greatest Vitamin in the World program is a Multi Level Marketing operation that functions by getting clients to purchase products which they agree to sell for the company in exchange for a commission (usually a flat rate). Leaving aside the long list of accusations of con artistry against Don Lapre and the scientifically dubious claims of his product (see this site for the Federal Food and Drug Administration cease and desist letter to Lapre) many former participants in this MLM claim it is an internet scam, or close to it.
Participants are required to spend money for the product, for domain names to sell the product online, for contact lists, for various levels of “packages” that supposedly contain extra benefits, and a host other fees. Many participants have claimed that they have not received payment even if the meet their unrealistic sales goals, or have been unable to collect on their money-back guarantee.
