Beware anyone that comes to Steuben County Indiana in search if a home: do NOT consider Holiday Woods! you pay your rent to the Enterprises through the person(s) that run the park and they take your money, write you receipts for the rent, maintenance fees, and gas you THINK you are paying and you find out all too late that the money has been applied to any account in any manner that they see fit.

My rent there is $205 a month, my maintenance fees are to be $43 a month as they did state in a letter that senior citizens get a $10 discount that they now say they 'do not do', and I am to be paying $50 a month on my back gas bill as they shut the gas off early this spring. Let me tell you, I was out raged to find that they took $560 in one month from me and my rent NEVER got paid that month!

They filed on me threatened to take me to court, then two weeks ago they said if I paid them $50 a month on the back gas bill and the current rent and maintenance fees, I wouldn't have to go into court and this was all done in an agree entry to the court.

So two days later I paid them the $300 to cover this agreement and they put the whole $300 on the gas bill! Now I have two months that I gave them money for rent and THOUGHT I paid rent only to find out I didn't pay any rent. This has been done over and over again, they write receipts to make me think my bills are paid then apply my money any way they want to and I get further and further behind. this is a low income area, I am on Social Security, my trailer is paid for but the lot is not, I have no gas and no way to get far enough out of debt to have it turned on before it gets cold and it is already getting there fast. I cannot move, I cannot live like this either. I am not the only one this is being done to and I don't think this is legal..
