Review of Patient's Tests/Release Records
While under the care of my Primary Care Physician (Dr. Chalik) I take routine bloodwork and other tests through outside lab sources for problems related to a hemroid issue. I ask how long I am to wait for results and are told approximately 2 weeks. I also make an appointment to see Dr. Chaliks' referred physician for the hemroid problem. With the lack of communication relayed by her receptionist and after taking a Vacation Day from work, I learn that the referred Physician will not be in the evening of my appointment, and Dr. Chalik cannot see me or wait for my arrival (10-15 minutes later) because she is leaving for the evening. I ask for her to review my blood work over the phone because it is not easy for me to make appointments around her schedule. Her answer is that she cannot, or that she is seeing a patient, or IS IT that she just wants me to come in for another "co-pay" for the visit??? So Dr. Chalik is it your wonderful "bedside manner" that you LACK or the desire to make money from your patients. Now it is April 6, 2010 and Dr. Chalik has just returned from vacation. A fax was transmitted to her office while she was not there with a proper "Release" for all of my medical records to be transferred - - (with all due respect this is my right, yes?) But now her receptionist/office worker is on vacation. While there is someone there to answer her phone and take in $$$$$ co-pays, there is not someone there to copy a patient's records because it is not their job, I imagine that would be her answer... So now I am going to see my new Primary Care Physician but I cannot forward to him the tests I have "ALREADY" taken and my insurance has been billed for, because Dr. Chalik and her receptionist/office worker went on Vacation for a week. This is a Doctor who came to "America" and took an oath. Shame on you for your un-professional behavior - - not even to get on the phone.
