I have been seeing Dr. Benoit for quite some time. Probably over 10 years. I recently changed dentists because it was impossible to see Dr. Benoit if I had an emergency. I have also recently acquired dental insurance, which he no longer takes insurance. I started to become suspicious when his tech, and himself if a particular tooth had bothered me on 2 occassions for cleanings. I had replied no. He stated, "interesting, because I can get my probe under the filling." Knowing what I know now, HE SHOULD HAVE PUT ANOTHER FILLING IN! I suspect that he was waiting for a problem so that he could charge me for a restoration which is more more expensive then a filling.

Upon being examined by my new dentist, he was very concerned about the condition of my gums. He referred me to a Periodontist who did not have good news! I take alot of pride in my teeth and have always done what Ihave be told. Recently, a crown came out that Dr. Benoit recemented. Prior to that, he put a larger post in the tooth so that it would stay. I asked him, if that doesn't work what will he do next? He replied, we'd have to cut the gum away." I currently have an absess in that tooth and was informed that I WILL LOSE that tooth! The post was not inserted correctly and is half in the root canal and half out! I am told that this process will be costly. I AM FURIOUS! THAT HE CAN GET AWAY WITH IRRESPONSIBLE DENTISTRY! No wonder there have been so many different Dental hygenists! There is one that has been there all along. I wonder if she is "in" with Dr. Benoit and turns her head the other way.
