Using Doc Find - a doctor search engine provided by my insurance company, I found Dr. Valrie M. Honablue. Her location was convenient to my work, and I was limited with my choices for a female doctor. I arrived early for my appointment to fill out the new patient paperwork, then continued to wait an hour to be seen. This is not typical at a counselor's office. Your appointment time is your appointment time. It's not like going to a family doctor which is unpredictable.

I walked over to one of the two girls sitting behind the glass and said "excuse me, how much longer do you think it will be? I have an another engagement soon." She told me that there were still two people ahead of me. I said "but I had an appointment, and I left work early to come here." She didn't care - she immediately got an attitude, made ugly faces at me, mouthed off while pointing her finger at me...I said "is this typical of how you treat your patients?" and she rolled her eyes and got up and walked away.

I waited for a minute, and then saw a woman walk out from around the corner and said "I would like to file a former complaint about the young lady sitting here, what do I need to do?" The woman - who was Dr. Honablue - looked at me, ignored me, and scurried into her office.

It was a total waste of my time, money (missing work), and it was a very upsetting experience. If you have googled Dr. Honablue, you will see what type of doctor she is and further understand why the whole ordeal was extra upsetting, and very strange. I have never experienced anything like it. Girl two behind the desk assured me that I would not be billed, and I assured her that I would never come back. Both girls seemed too young for their jobs - maturity goes a long way.

Dr. Honablue clearly doesn't care, and neither does her staff - but they will take your money. I would also like to add that the office was a little ghetto, and the questionnaire that you fill out as a new patient is filled with strange 'street clinic' type questions.

I reported the incident to my insurance company. What goes around comes around ladies.
