Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 10.1 is sold as being 64-bit compatible. And that it is. But it's really only 32-bit and that's disappointing. at times it runs slow and doesn't work at all.
This is the biggest memory hog you will likely install on your computer and this is the one piece of software where you really want to take advantage of all the processing power and memory of your computer.
Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 10.1 is only a 32-bit program which is compatible with 64-bit operating systems.
I spent nearly $10, 000 on a top top top of the line Windows 7 Ultimate with the fastest Intel I7 available and 16 GB of RAM!not to mention not one but two solid-state drives and the fastest graphics card possible.
at all times less than 20% of the available RAM is used on this computer. However Dragon NaturallySpeaking sometimes throws an error which says "recovering from low system resources". And it just plain doesn't work during this time when other functions are working.
If Dragon NaturallySpeaking had gone to the effort to produce a real piece of 64-bit software then this wouldn't be happening.
