On June 26, 2009, we signed a membership for a set of vacation packages for $5, 304. After signing the contract, we did not get all copies of the contract. There were terms in the contract that were excessive, unreasonable, and illegal. They used coercive tactics and extreme sales pressure to get us to sign their contract. They used switch and bait tactics to move the contract process along. The contact also included unreasonable indemnification clauses. The contract terms included nonrefundable, non-cancellable and the rescission laws were inapplicable, no financial burden applies, the service was already provided, etc. The contract did not spell out any details of what we would get for our monies; only general terms were provided with lots of escape clauses making it worthless.
Unfortunately we did not realize what had happened until right after we signed the contract and left. Of course, they refused to cancel the contract. We are willing to join any class action suit against them. We have filed a complaint with the NJ Attorney General.
