Fraud and scam
I financed an automobile with this company 30 months ago. I financed 18K with payments of 479 per month. After paying more than 14K With no missed or late payments, I found that I still owe 13K on this loan. The company refuses to refinance or negotiate with me to lower the amount owed. I feel totally helpless.

not posting all payments made
I financed my 2003 Mustang through the dealer--they had poor credit financing, which I needed since I cosigned on my daughter's car several years ago & it got repode & you know what happens after that!! The dealer assured me that Drive Financial was a good, reliable company to work with. Boy--were they wrong!! Not only did the dealership go under (now being investigated for fraud, deceptive practices & other lovely things by the FBI) I have a void service contract with no way of getting it taken off the loan, or getting a refund on what I've paid already. Drive Financial does not credit payments when sent--right now they say I owe over $1100, even though I sent them a record of all the payments I have made since I bought the car. My records (and those of the credit union) say I only owe $374.40 for this month's payment. Where & how can a person report something like this--all this crap is going on my credit report & it's not true!! I can't afford to spend millions of dollars on credit reports, lawyers, etc. to get this fixed!! Something needs to be done before too many other people get ripped off.

rude, no communication, fraud
I got a 2005 dodge neon in feb 2007 and i to was financed with drive. my storry is pretty much the same as everybody elses. I got behind and a month ago i made arrangements to may some on the car so they would not repo it. on the day i made the arrangements to pay the very next day that night at midnight they came and got my car. takin everything that was in my car with them. i made plans to pay what i had to pay to get my car back and within 2 days of them takin my car it was moved which i didnt find out bout til after i had paid the past due balance and called to get the info to go pick up my car which i was under the impression was just maybe an hour from my house. to my suprise i find out that 1 my car was in little rock arkansas which is over 5 hours from my house but that there is a condition repoert on my car because they have been tryin to start it with a key that was in it which they thought went to the car and its only a dummy key but doesnt have the electronic chip in it to start teh car. needless to say a week after my car payment has been caught up i still dont know where my car is and i am gettin the run around from every person i talk to. i will be contacting a attorny and i will sue if my car is not where i can get it by the end of this week.

Poor Customer Service/Communication
My loan was purchased from Triad Financial on August 3, 2008 and the communication that I have received from both Triad and Drive has been absolutely ridiculous. First of all the communication was sent out late stating that my loan was sold and then 2 payments were taken out of my account. One by Traid which they said would not be taken out then the other I set up via a recurring EFT. I have faxed what they asked me to on August 6, 2008 when I discovered the problem. They are now doing nothing and I continue to get a run around from them. This is a great way to begin a customer relationship isn't it? I spoke to 5 people in their office that have not been able to give me any information. They tell me to call back, call back, call back. This type of customer service is unprofessional to say the least. I supposedly spoke to a floor manager who hung up on me. Real professional.

No Contract but still wants payment.
My husband and I went to Blue Ribbon Auto Center in Roland Oklahoma to purchase a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan on May 20 2008. On that day we took financial paperwork they said they needed to finalize the financing and we traded our old van for $2000, because that is what Drive want down to finance the 2006 or so Blue Ribbon said. At this point we think everything is okay and the financial manager tells us we will receive our papers in the with in 14-days, well that never happened. Because the day before the temporary tags were to expire I went to Blue Ribbon and asked them what was going on, and then I was informed BR could not reissue me another temporary tag. We got concern after the dealership kept giving us the run around. Well Jul 11, 2008 calls my husband asking for a payment on the 2006 van for Jun 19, 2008, my husband told them that he would not give them a payment because we did not have contract or an account number to reference anything to verify what he was telling us was true. Also at this point we don't have the title to get the van register in our name either. So like so many of you have said in your complaints they have been calling my husband at work harassing him many times of the day and hanging up on him also. So Jul 15, 2008 went to a lawyer with this information we have. Our lawyer tried to call Drive Financial to ask was going on but couldn't get thru, b/c we didn't have the account number so the automated system said to use the SS# and every time the lawyer tried my husbands SS# it would not take it because it did not have it in their system. So some how they are able to demand payment even though we were not in their system. So with advice of our lawyer he told us to return the vehicle, to which we did. Starting Jul 17, 2008 the rudeness and the harassment phone calls have started coming in. The catcher is that Drive Financial sent us a decline letter for our contract because they said they had return the contract because Blue Ribbon would send the information they needed, and letter was dated Jul 7, 2008 we got Jul 16, 2008 and their Collection Dept. called Jul 11, 2008. Needless to say Blue Ribbon is the 1st to be in court, next will be Drive Financial. Drive denies sending the decline letter but I have it in my folder right now. I will post back with the results. If you to know more e-mail me.

Nasty people
Ok. So I was young and dumb when i got this loan to purchase my first vehical from drive financial. Not only were the people at the car lot very shady about there dealings but drive is unbelievable. I got a 2004 sport trac ford..and financed 19506.00 for it with a trade in. being my first car i was so excited. it was used but who cares. Now i pay and pay and pay and pay and still of just about what i started with...I dont understand..Oh and the calls are crazy..I have tryed many times to have my money come out automatically and there is always a reason they cant do it..I am glad now...I am a student and need a vehical to get to school otherwise I would have givin' it back to them a long time ago and would just deal with the credit report thing. I dont know much but I do feel this company should have a lawsuit against them...I would love to join it in N.C. The day I bought this ass of a truck, i think i grew up a bit and relized people are liars cheaters and will take the shirt off your back...and after reading this I am now going to do something about it...whatever that might be but something

bad business
I understand I also went through drive but made the mistake of getting two vehicles at the same time. One of the vehicles ended up being a lemon and when I went through the dealership to get them to replace my vehicle with another that is when I found out that I had payed more than the suggested retail sticker price by at least 3, 000 dollars. If it gives you any comfort I was never able to pay off the last vehicle and they have been looking for it for a while now and have not gotten it.

Harassment
This company calls my home and I work out of town during the week, so they get an answering service. What do they do??? They search for anyone that live within 5 miles of me with the last name and calls and harasses them!!! They have been calling this old lady ten time a day, harassing the heck out her! Can you believe that? We share the last name, but are in no way related. So she sends her daughter to me mothers to find out if it is me that they are calling about. All because I am a week late in paying!!!

Scam and fraud
I too had credit problems and serra toyota of decatur got me financed through drive financial. First let me say that I was never told from the start what I would be paying for the 2005 Kia Spectra that I was getting. I even gave a $2000 deposit and the car was still 10, 000 plus interest which was $88OO dollars. I have already paid over $5OOO in payments. I have been behind since having my shoulder surgery and have explained that to them. But I am like all the others, I never get the same person when I call. I have notified the Atty. Gen. of Alabama about the practices of this company. They have even tried to contact me on Sunday which is a no-no according to the legal info that I have received. I am now awaiting to get in to see a lawyer. Drive has even had the nerve to call my boss and his wife and tell them things that should not be discussed with anyone. I have also told them not to call me at work. They were to call me after 2pm cst. I am just fed up with it. So if there is some- one in Alabama that is considering a class action lawsuit, please count me in.

Illegal repo
I had a loan thru this company. My husband went out of work for disability because he had surgery. I notified them because we were told at the time we purchased out vehicle that we had the disability insurance which pays your payment if you are out of work. I never heard anything further, so i assumed all was well. Then we moved and i changed my mailing address with the post office and changed insurance companies. The insurance company asked for Drive's address so that they could notify them. Well two months later my father in law (whose house i have never lived) called and said someone put a post it note on his mailbox that they needed to serve me and my husband papers. My father in law then called my husband and said the man would be back in 15 minutes. He went there and they took the truck before he could even walk to the door. The company then told us we had 15 days to get them the money. We called the very next day (less than 24 hours after they took the vehicle) and were told we had no chance of getting the vehicle back. I had a full investigation and the authorities ruled in our favor.
