Harrassing calls/High Interest Rates
This company has changed it's name to Santande assuming that by obtaining a new business name, it would cover the multitude of harrassing phone calls and ridiculously high interest rates that it charges customers, however Santander is Drive and Drive is Santander. I've been financing my auto loan with drive for the past 2 years and the interest alone is enough to send you into bankruptcy. This is a horrible company with unfair credit practices. I would like to be apart of the class action lawsuit against this company simply because of the unfair interest that was attached to my auto loan as well as the harrassing phone calls that I've received on my jobs as well as my friends and family.Enough is enough!!

Rude and nasty dealership
I bought a gmc truck from drive financal and it was the worse thing i did. My rate is 21% and when I finish paying for it it will cost me $32, 6766.00 The price was $15, 995.00. I have had this truck back at Burlington Kia at least 10 times for major repairs. Now I am out of luck and the truck is still not fixed. Buyer Beware... Please if anyone knows how to get me out of this terrible ordeal let me know. The dealership was rude and very nasty. Don't go there for any vehicle...

harrassing/deferment/rec'vd repo letter
I receive harrassing phone calls everyday after the 25th of every month on my due date, I can't pay on time as I receive my check on the 3rd every month. I receive SSDI and used to work, but I lost my job and am pending unemployment. I could not keep up with my payments and reported my situation to Drive Financial and the Representative informed I would be eligible for a 2 month deferment. No one called me back to let me know about my deferment but received a phone call wanting to know where my payment is. I asked for a Supervisor but I don't think they have any.
I finally received a call back from a very calm and helpful Representative and said I would be eligible for the deferment, as I have always kept my word thru my account payments since March 2007.
We did a recording like insurance companies do when you have an accident. I also made a payment aggreement. I received a harassing call 3 days later. I also received a certified letter informing I need to pay 500.00 dollars or they will reposes my car.

WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH
I went to dealership to purchase a car. I already had a loan and took the car home. I was told the loan fell through and was given Drive as my lender. They are very rude people. They call you even when payment has been sent. If you make a payment over the phone they charge you two seperate fees. If you send it buy moneygram they charge an additional fee. My loan amount never decreased. They sold my account to someone else without notifying me and then this new company tells me that I was three months behind and also repossessed my car. I had all documentation but they refused to acknowlege my paperwork. Personal belongings that were in the car were stolen from the repo company they hired as well. I was not allowed to get mmy belonging because I was informed the car was at the auction for sale two days after being repossessed. I was never given a chance to reclaim my car or received notices from drive that my payments were late because they were not late. This is the worst company to deal with and I am distraught over the ill treatment and poor customer service we received.

Fraud, extremely high payment and loan amount not reducing
Drive Financial who is now Santander is ripping me off big time, looking for advise or some directions. I obtained a loan in August 2006 and have made timely payments witht the exception of a few months. As of Septembeer 2009 I have a loan balance of almost $19, 000 after 3 years of payments. The interest is extremely high which they have refused to reduce. I have requested a payment history and they have yet to send it to me after several request. One of their reps stated that my payments have been applied to interest which is why I owe more than what the orignal loan amount was, which is illegal. Help anybody?

UNPROFESSIONAL CSR AND UNACCOUNTED FEES
I HVE REPORTED THIS COMPANY BEFORE FOR POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES AND OVERCHARGING ME WITH LATE FEES THAT WERE NOT ACCURATE. THEY HAVE REPEATEDLY LIED AND HARRASSED MY FAMILY MEMBERS REGARDING PAYMENTS AND TRYING TO FIND OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION. THE COMPANY NAME HAS CHANGED. I HAVEN'T RECIEVED A MONTHLY STATEMENT FOR MY CAR IN TWO MONTHS. THEY PRETEND NOTTO KNOW MY WHEREABOUTS WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN INFORMED ON VARIOUS OCCASIONS. I FILED A REPORT WITH BBB BEFORE AND DRIVE STATED THEY WOULD REVERSE THE OVERAGES AND CREDIT IT BACK TO MY ACCOUNT. THEY AGREED IN WRITING TO DO SO AND NEVER FOLLOWED THROUGH. INSTEAD GAVE ME A BUNCH OF BULL ABOUT BEING PAST DUE ON MY ACCOUNT. I HAVE PAID ON TIME AND YET THE BLANCE NEVER GOES DOWN. IT HAS REMAINED THE SAME FOR THE PAST 7 MONTHS. I HATE EVER!!!EVER!!! BECOMING INVOLVED WITH THIS AWFUL COMPANY. THERE HAS BEEN SO MANY COMPLAINTS. EVEN THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED MY CAR SAID HAD THEY KNOWN IT WAS FINANCED THROUGH DRIVE THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN EVERY MEASURE POSSIBLE TO REMOVE ME FROM THIS!!! I WILL NEVER AS LONG AS I LIVE FINANCE ANYTHING WITH DRIVE FINANCIAL OR WHOEVER THEIR CURRENT NAME IS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO FIDO TO PURCHASE A FLEA COLLAR!!! THE COLLAR GOING PRICE COULD BE $1.00 DOLLAR AND SURELY HE WILL END UP PAYING $100.00. FI SOMEONE OFFER A LOAN TO YOU THROUGH DRIVE TAKE HEAD AND GO TO THE WEBSITE AND READ ALL THE COMPLAINTS AND LET IT BE A WORD TO THE WISE.

Car Loan
drive Financial has been racking up on interest payments. I made payments for 1 & 1/2 years & I haven't even made a dent on the loan I still owe the same amout that I had a year & half ago. they have refused to refinance & i had no idea that if I'm late with a payment (which i was told that i wasn't) they are charging me $6 per day including weekends. I was told before I took out the loan that after 6mo they would lower my interest payment of 22%. I then found out they NEVER refinance. If I had of know that I would have never agreeed to this loan. They are getting 22% interest & late fees'
I also found out that this bank is not located in Texas & it is located in London England so I gues that's how they can get away with this scam. I hope someone can look into this company. They are ripping off Americans!!!

Outrageous Interest Rates
Drive Financial has changed its name or been purchased by Santander Consumer USA.
I bought a vehicle from a local car dealer, a very reputable one - or so I thought, and they set up my loan through Drive Financial. The purchase price of the vehicle was approx. $18, 000. I've had this loan for 4 years, and already paid nearly $28, 800, and I still have TWO YEARS left on the loan, which will leave me paying over $43, 000 for a used $18, 000 vehicle!
Part of this is the interest rate and the length of the loan, and part of it is thier fees and penalties. Frankly, I'm to blame for not being a more sophisticated and careful buyer, but no one should be able to do business in this manner.
Does anyone know who I can report this to? I tried to negotiate myself with them, to come up with a fair settlement of the loan, offering them several thousand dollars, but they wouldn't even discuss it with me. At this point, I'd like to involved a consumer protection entity to try and help me out. They've already made plenty of money off of me, and I just can't afford to keep paying for this vehicle.

Balance not changing
I financed my car in March 2007. I pay 319 a month on an 05 Malibu. Every month that I make my payment my balance is not going down..When I contact Drive they say that most of my balance is interest..What I want to know "How do you charge interest on a car that has interest added into you car payment?" My balance was 12, 534, and I still owe 8900..My payment is not changing at all. There must be a law against this. Adding up the balance and what I have paid in means that they are going to try and get 19, ooo dollars out of me..I think that this is a shame that people get over on hard working people like myself...
