I purchased a vehicle from Mint Auto Sales in 2008 my husband and I have paid faithfully and on time each and every month. The car was listed at a little over 14k and we have paid a little over 30k for this vehicle. We have ten more payments left. A little over 6k.
We were about to trade in the car we have and receive another loan from a larger company. However when they ran my credit it fails to show that we even have a loan OR a car. They suggested that we go to our Credit Union. Which we did immediately. Due to the failure to report we were denied a loan with them and we have now taken 2 hard inquiry hits to my credit report. The representative from our Credit Unions advice was that we retain a lawyer immediately. Due to the size of the loan they are required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to show this loan on my credit report. Which they did not. We have paid in vain for three years now with those 10 payments left. We were told had this been showing on our credit report we would have gotten financing.
We are getting ready to have our first appointment with a lawyer in regards to this since we have all the receipts of payment on the loan and the dates that we paid.
I find it incredibly odd that this went from Drive Financial to Drive Off Financial to now Nevada Pegasus, Inc. I have been going through public records and it seems whenever they receive a fair number of negative remarks against them the name of the company changes, however, we still make payment to the SAME woman each and every month. Hopefully our Attorney will be able to resolve this issue quickly. Thank GOODNESS we bank with a Credit Union who is looking out for our interests or we could have gotten to the end of the loan wondering why we could not get another financier.
I also loved the fact that our Loan Rep TOLD us that they had to pay us something and it could end up being quite substantial because by law they have to report.
Hopefully people will read this and avoid Drive Off Financial AND the ONLY car lot they work with Mint Auto Sales in Sacramento. They are nothing more than scam artists.
