car
son in law bought a car from them to insure he would not lose his job they did not stay running long the cam belt broke leaving them stranded on 69 while visiting me, he manage to dolly car to my home he called drive time sereral times and got no where, he decided to tarnish his credit by letting it go back the problem is its in my way on my private property, they where to pick it up the next week, now soninlaw and daughter both loss jobs due to tranportation issues when they where suppose to get a loaner, the pt crusier allthough nice looking is right in front of house and in the way i fear may run up my taxes, so i might have to charge storage for compensation if not contacted soon about car [email protected]

Rip Off Bad Business
I purchased a car from them 3 weeks ago, my check engine light came on, so I called let them know, they send me to the shop, were there were 5 other Drive Time customers there, my car come to find out needs a new engine (so much for the inspection), so I was asked to leave the car there overnight until they can get a quote to Drive Time, the next day I get a call from the shop telling me Drive Time will not fix the car, if they did they would be upside down on the car, I am told to all Drive time to see what next. I call extremely angry they give me some bull about coming in to get a different vehicle however at this point I had requested my money back I did not want a vehicle from there and I was told we can give you a partial refund because we have to charge you miles. I could not believe it. I am in the middle of handeling this matter as it took place yesterday, I am advising you DO NOT EVEN BOTHER !!! YOU WILL PAY FOR IT, READ THE REVIEWS THEY DONT LIE!!! OTHER CAR LOTS WILL OFFER A WARRANTY YOU PAY FOR IT BUT ATLEAST THEY DONT SELL LEMONS

CHARGE TOO MUCH FOR VEHICLES
I BOUGHT A 2003 FORD TAURUS FROM DRIVE TIME, I ASKED FOR A CARFAX AND TO THIS DAY I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT. WHEN I QUESTIONED THE NEW PAINT ON THE BUMPER, I WAS TOLD THAT HTEY HAD IT PAINTED DUE TO SCRATCHES ON THE BUMPER. I WAS RUSHED INTO MAKING A DECISION AND WAS CONGRADULATED AFTER I DID.
WHEN I PAID MY PAYMENTS EARLY I WAS CHARGED A LATE FEE. HOW DO YOU GET CHARGED A LATE FEE FOR PAYING EARLY. WHEN I QUESTIONED THEM AFTER THE HARRASSING CALLS THEY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES AND CAME BACK WITH A STORY SAYING THIS WAS ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO THAT WE ARE CHRGING YOU FOR. WHEN I ASKED WHY I NEVER BEEN TOLD ABOUT THIS THEY DIDN'T GIVE AN ANSWER JUST SAID PAY IT.
I THINK THAT SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THIS SO-CALLED COMPANY BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY UNETHICAL IN THEIR PRACTICES, THEY ARE RUDE AND HARRASSING. CONSIDERING THAT I AM PAYING $15, 000.00 FOR A $6, 000.00 CAR. THEY ARE TOTALLY RIPPING OFF CONSUMERS AND THE GOVERNMENT ARE LETTING THEM DO IT.
SO, I SAY TO EVERYONE WHO HAS FELL VICTIM TO THIS COMPANY. "HOLD YOUR HEADS UP, BECAUSE THEY WILL REAP WHAT THEY SOW" MEANING THEY WILL GET WHAT'S COMING TO THEM.
BE BLESSED BECAUSE WE ALL CAN HAVE THINGS IN OUR LIFE TO GO WRONG BUT THAT DO NOT GIVE OTHERS THE RIGHT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US.

No Balance after payment
I baught a car from Drive Time in March of 2008, as of today I have never received a balance due on the car. I have filed a claim with the BBB in Texas, however the home offce is in Arizona and I was advised to file the claim in the state where the home office is...therefore this is my next step...I was making payments at the DriveTime office in Dallas, all I get is a receipt. Now they are having their customers go to Ace check cashing, Walmart and Etc: to make car payments where they are charging a fee and again all I get is a receipt; I should be seeing the balance due each time I make a payment; or either have a payment book...I make payments of $201.00 bi-weekly; and have not missed a note...and I read the statement about the young lady having to go to a funeral, and when she got back they were to re-po her car for being late after she explain the situation to them; well thats not fair; and I have been a day late did not make it on a Saturday at Church on Sunday's and Monday they are calling first thing before the store even opens, I will complain until I get my balances due and a record of all payment made.

warranty
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE! I have a handicap child I needed a van for. They sold me a van that the left slide door would not stay shut. I knew this when I bough the van, but they told me that the warranty would cover it. What a ******* lie! Now I have a van with a door that alarms non stop. If i pull the fuse out, the window alarms. WTF!!! But thats ok I can be just as good as they can. I hired a lawyer to sue them. I will get it fixed or own me a new van.

Drive Time Scam
I purchased a Jeep from Drive Time. I paid all payments on time. The vehicle was stolen 7months after I purchased it. My insurance company informed me that Drive Time accepted the offer to write off the vehicle (it was totaled when found). I did not think much of it at the time. Drive Time called me to purchase another vehicle. Because I thought that it was a bad company to work with, I decided not to purchase from them again.

Now it is time for me to purchase a car and I check my credit report and Drive Time has on my credit that I failed to pay for the car and that they had to write it off as bad debt. I am trying to get this issue resolved but they will not return any of my calls. I cannot purchase a vehicle with a good rate without this information from them.

What can I do?

DRIVE TIME COMPLAINT AND OR
Drive Time in ABQ, NM was my last resort to getting a used vehicle, but now with my experience with them I never should have. iF THERE IS A LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS COMPANY, PLEASE INCLUDE ME IN AND CALL ME FOR MORE INFORMATION. I SURE LIKE TO GET BACK AT THEM.

THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS REALLY VERY BAD, THEY ARE RUDE AND THEY WANT TO HAVE THE LAST WORDS IN EVERYTHING THEY. THEY DON'T GIVE YOU TIME EXPLAIN YOUR SITUATION ESPECIALLY AT THE ALBUQUERQUE OFFICE.

THEY CALLED MY OFFICE AND HARASSED ME. THIS LADY STARTED CALLING ME NASTY NAMES AND I TRIED CALMING HER DOWN BUT SHE WENT ON AND ON HARASSING ME.

Broken car
I need it a bigger car for my growing family and I stopped the first dealer I saw, Drive Time. They sold me a Dodge Caravan 2005 nice looking from the outside. A month and a week into the account my car started to give me problems with the gasket. Took the car to the repair shop and to my surprise I had to pay 50.00 just for them to look at the car. They make the call to the warranty department and the claim got denied. I called and argued with them and the agreed to pay. Then I started to have problems with an oil leak again take the car to the repair shop and got denied, this time they say they would no cover the damage. Now I have an oil leak, a light sensor on and my car gets over heated as soon as I'm 5 minutes on the road. I went to see the manager and he said there is nothing he can't do about it, called customer service and they can't do anything about it. The warranty department won't pay for my repairs either. The sad part of this story is that I only had this car for 3 months!. Drive time is a nightmare.

Bait and Switch
I applied for a loan on their website. 5 minutes after applying I received a phone call stating that I was approved for a loan on a car. I had told the person who called the I only had $500 down payment. I was asurred that was enough and that they could put me in a car. 2 Days later I paid $20 to take a taxi to get the the showroom. While there I decided to do the financing before looking for a car. I had all the paperwork with me that was required. While there I was introduced to the credit manager and he said $500 should be plenty. Well he did the numbers crunch and guess what? Now they wanted $900 down payment before I could even look at a car. I came up with $860 for the down payment, taking every penny I had on me at the time. I asked if we could find a car, and give me 20 minutes to go and get the other $40.00. I was told no! Well I left the lot, again having to call a Taxi. I went to another car lot and bought a car. After I got home the credit manager had the nerve to call me and asked if I was still interested in one of their cars. When I told him that I was upset over the $40.00 difference he said that it was the computer that told him he could not accept anything less then $900. I told him that I only needed a car (to get to the bank) and I would have had the other $40.00. He said he could not let a car off the lot for less then $900. Again he blamed the computer. I told him that I wanted nothing to do with him or Drive Time. He actually told me that if there was anything they could do in the future to help me with a car to call. You have got to be kidding. I would never do business with them again and encourage people to stay far away from them. I read the other reviews on the internet but still thought I would give them a chance. Boy was I wrong. If they would not budge on $40.00 for 20 minutes, I don't think they would understand any other circumstances that could cause a person to be 20 minutes late in a payment. Don't do business with them. I personally went to a "mom and pop" dealer who was more then willing to help me out and with only a $500 down payment. Oh by the way, the car I got was only 12% interest and Drive Time wanted approximately 33% interest.
