refund
I too had extreme trouble getting a refund of $39.90. I tried calling the company and whether I tried support, customer service or billing they were all automated messages or directed me back to the website. Over 10 days I e-mailed 6 times with no response.
They are finally issuing ( they say they are - I hope it goes thru) a refund but it could be because:
A. I e-mailed the president of the company directly
B. I filed a complaint with the BBB in Texas (where the company is located)
C. I filed a complaint with the Texas States Attorney General
So if you are having trouble with a refund DON'T give up and let these people walk all over you. Perhaps you could try these actions not only for yourself but to protect other unsuspecting people. It just goes against me to let companies like this get away with deceptive practices. Hope you feel that way too. Be persistent!

Did not find needed driver
Downloaded the software to get a specific driver required for the DVD player on my Gateway PC. After purchasing and trying to download it would not find the needed driver. Went online to request a credit based on the 30 day money back guarantee. Submitted the request and three times someone has emailed me to ask what the problem is. Have answered three times. No credit issued.
Software did not oprovide the needed driver required.

I don't want it !
DRIVER DETECTIVE advertised their product as a "free" download, so why not? Next I was told I would have to pay (by Credit Card of course) a $9.95 fee for 2 years. Well, that was acceptable for 2 years. So I bit and gave them my Credit Card Info. Next, up came a complete view of ALL charges. The $9.95 charge was accompanied by a $29.95 charge for a grand total of $39.90. IF you get this far, let me know how you got a refund for the charges made to your Cr Card because I can't. There's no way to contact them. Try it and find out the hard way --- like I did.

ripp off
Driver detective is a scam plain and simple. They first tell you they will give you the driver you need but all it is is a program that tells you what driver you need (duh!) and then nothing. I paid them nearly 30 bucks for nada, zilch, nothing, niente. They are scammers who need to be in jail asap. I don;t understand why there is nothing in place to quickly detect s.o.bs like this and stop them at the source.

False advertising product not what advertised
The thieves at SAfecart advertised (after running a scan on my pc) that they had a driver that I was missing. After paying (through paypal) $29.95 and re-running the scan, it turned out that these thieves did not have the driver after all. I requested a refund immediately. To date they have ignored my requests. Paypal has not done any good either as they will not refunds items received (even if they are not what they were advertised to do).

Cost
The advertisement claimed that the product was $9.95. I was billed that plus an additional $29.95, explaining the the first was only for registration. This was false advertising, as far as I am concerned. I have not used the product and want my money back.
