$288 worth of suits, dresses, slacks, blazers and blouses. Not one was pressed correctly. In fact, hems were popped and/or completely ripped open. Skirts were pressed folded, resulting in pointed sides. Pleats were not pressed at all; reason being pleats are difficult. The creases in the slacks were off centered and more than obvious. The lining in many pieces was bunched and wrinkled, creating a bumpy look in the slacks. There were dark spots on a burgundy dress that were not there when submitted. Buttons were broken on suit jackets (this was the only make-good, as they did replace the button, but only after I made it clear that it's not my responsibility to fix what they broke). I went into the shop with one of the badly pressed slacks on - the woman in the front said "Whoooaa, let me get the manager". Well the manager saw nothing wrong and told me that the presser must have had a problem with my clothes, and that they're not fashion experts, knowing how things should fall or look.
Extra Fees:
11% surcharge
$.35 environmental fee
Upcharges for whites, silk, angore, cashmere, etc. (yes, they charge more for white garments)
This company is a rip-off to say the least. They do not in any way clean your clothing or handle them in a professional manner. There is no direct knowledge of garment handling, textiles, or fabrication. Your slacks will look as if you pressed them right side up with starch - yes, shiny and with visible iron marks.
My entire order has to be re-cleaned and pressed, as there is not one acceptable piece! I was basically robbed of $288.
DO NOT use Mayflower Launry & Drycleaning.
