Coupons
I applied to receive coupons for the DTV program and i recently received a letter stating that Im not eligible to get the coupons because someone already used my address. I live in a row house and the only difference between me and the other neighbors that lives in the same complex is that we have different letters for our apartment number. I think that is why they are saying that my address has already been used. I need to speak to someone immediately about this because I need to get some converter boxes asap and i know i am eligible to receive coupons. I would appreciate if someone can call me at 216-361-1740 because i'm not understanding why i can't get any coupons. Also i believe i am not the only one in our row house complex that received a letter. Thank you.

To whom this may concern:

I tried to get those coupons for these DTV boxes but when I called the number that they gave me wasn't even my address. I don't have these boxes and the lady accused me of living at this address, but I told her that was my moms address.She informed me that I can go and just buy them well I live on Social Security and I will do with out T.V. as I was given a conformation # for me but I never received those coupons. The reference # is 6940969 and to this date I am still waiting and may never get them. Everyone else has the option to have whatever DTV box but me. I am not understanding this at all. It seems like the rich people are the ones that can have the benefit of the 40.00 off each box but us poor people have to pay the full price for everything. I am not even sure that all this is worth all this hassle to begin with as I hear so many say that they can't see T.V.. with the box now so what will it be like later on, & if people think that I have the money to buy brand new T.V.'s think again as this whole mess has really made me upset. I waited till the very last to try to get coupons and now I am being told that I already have them, well, I we sit in the dark and I don't have to watch to T.V. as I have a computer that I can correspond & go to sleep with. Who needs the T.V.? I am going through chemo and not always home either when the mail comes as I lost credit card that had to be re-issued

Well if in the fact that you find that your records with this number indicate that I don't have them yet I well look forward to seeing them, otherwise I guess I do without. I can't afford cable so I know that won't happen.

Lack of Customer Service
This originally began with installation. When tech came out to install service he left wires hanging on side of my house promising to return at a warmer date because he said the cold temp could crack siding if he screwed the wires down.I posted a complaint online and was told to contact this tech myself to fix. The tech never returned calls..so at that time i left that matter as i will just have to fix that myself...

A few months ago we had a DVR receiver go out and after talking to Tech support they sent out a replacement (of which they charged me for and acted like i wanted a fourth receiver, obviously no internal communication) The second receiver came and the exact same thing happened to the "new" one (I found out later the receivers are all refurbished and not new at all)at approximately two weeks later..When i called DTV to report problem again they said there was a problem with my equipment i was hooking up there equipment to - i asked the tech Dept to send out technician, upon request i was informed that i would have to pay for that..i disagreed as it was there defective equipment and since i lease them i should not pay, but i was told if i pay an additional fee for there protection plan they would send someone out, again whatever i agreed and have paid this ev month since. Tech comes out and swaps receiver again with what he called an upgrade..said other receiver was problematic..ever since swap our picture quality is horrible, tech left house told my wife i needed to adjust setting on TV...i called DTV and was told that receiver tech sent was not communicating properly ("it was a higher quality than my dish") and they would send another tech to upgrade service free of charge to fix resolution problem (i was told an HD upgrade)..tech again came out and said he had wrong equipment for upgrade and for me to call DTV again and request an HD upgrade..i told the tech that is what we were supposed to get, he said they must of screwed up when submitting order, he called DTV and they said i had to call in to cancel and reorder..At this time(Dec 2008) i decided to lay off and call at a later date..i was very frustrated with everything up to this point, I needed a break..i just called yesterday to get this all worked out again since we pay ev month for service that is barely viewable..each time i call each rep tells me a different solution, all of which includes me paying for something..i was told i could get the new HD dish but not the equipment to come with it..Katrina was the only rep i remembered name..she told me she knows my problem and that it has nothing to do with DTV, when i asked her to transfer me to tech support she said no because that was not my problem and that they cant do anything for me, when i asked to speak to a supervisor she said no because it would take to long and that she already knows my problem and solution..All i want is for DTV to honor what they say and for someone to fix my resolution problem..none of this started until they swapped out the DVR..the communication with DTV is a nightmare, each rep blames another rep for miscommunication to me and tells me a different solution for each problem, they bounce you around between Dept. no communication when they do that so you repeat yourself and continue to get more frustrated every second, i am a business owner and could never get away with this type of service, what happened to resolving problems and good customer service, a lost art and DTV fails miserably.

agreements????????????
i have also been lied to or scamed buy dtv, ive had them for 10 years my tivo stoped working i called to ask for a replacement, well they dont make the one i had anymore, so the lady on the phone said we can send you a dvr its the exact same thing as tivo i would just have to pay shippihg, i said thats fine. ive had nothing but problems the past 3 and a half months with the box and the tech they send out, due to finacioal reasons i cancelled my service and they tell me i agreed to a 2 year agreement and i now owe them $366.34 for early disconnecting and was told i was sent out a agreement from dtv, lies and more lies now they are saying they sent me a email on the agreement, the box is a refurbashed box that isnt even worth more then 50.00 bucks. they need to get there storys strait at that place. i will be taking this matter as far as i can.

Terrible Customer Service
DTV the biggest scam EVER!!

Please DO NOT USE DTV for your service

Their Customer Service is terrible "If we can call that Customer Service» and the way they talk to the customer is even worse.

I asked for a supervisor and the lady told me “We don’t have a supervisor, what do you want me to do?”

I called several times about my bill and got a different answers every time.

They even told me that I have to learn how to read.

We have to do something about it, we can not to let the get away with this.

Everyone complaining about DTV needs to read it, it's under my original complaint. If you expect action you need to get involved.
