I was planning to purchase the 1st season of Designing Women on DVD for my mom as a gift. Before purchasing, however, I decided to read the reviews posted on amazon's website. One of the reviews recommended buying the entire DVD series for only 80 dollars plus s/h rather than spending 30 dollars plus s/h for only the first season; the rest of the series hasn't been released yet. As soon as I received it, I could tell it was recorded off of someone's TV, it contains voiceovers toward the end of each episode, saying something like, "coming up next, Cagney and Lacy, " and has some type of Pennsylvania logo in the right hand corner. It cuts off part of some of the episodes, and the video and audio quality are terrible. It is blatantly pirated material, sold and distributed illegally, and I am insulted and ashamed to have taken part in this scam, albeit unknowingly. Someone should shut this website down.
