Poor customer service on copied dvd's
Just a word of warning
I have traded with this company on many occasions. The first couple for myself and extended family were successful. Yes I would be dubious regarding the idea that the discs were not copies however both the quality and pricing were great and since I’d first located the website via more than one price comparison site I felt confident. We even recommended it to neighbours and friends who borrowed our boxsets.
After building up our confidence we overlooked the lack of a paypal payment option and only realised the we were not being redirected to a secure payment page (the https :- prefix on web link at top of page) whenever we were having trouble with the total on the invoice not matching the total being removed from our credit card. This is a problem that has yet to be resolved and on closer inspection friends and family found inaccuracies on their invoices also. Sometimes out by only $13 but on another a total second payment had been removed.
For a finish we received a totally incorrect boxset and in very poor condition- not wrapped in the bubble wrap of all previous orders. When we discussed this via live chat we were told to photograph it and all relevant postage stickers and email images before they would consider any exchange or refund. This we did but were asked to resubmit again and again over a period of weeks as they either couldn't see it or couldn't locate the email (I work in IT and photography for a living and know when I’m being given the run around). When listing all previous orders and all queries/ problems regarding each, my view orders page was deleted from my sign in page showing no previous orders - despite there having been a dozen. Moreover, an outstanding order was mailed to me as having being cancelled and no monies returned and even although I paid for recorded delivery to return the error boxset we are still chasing our refund or alternative boxset for some nine months now.
In addition, the friends and family we recommended the website to have had attempts to remove monies from their credit card. Our own credit card also had a security breach on the same day of our last online purchase, our bank security system cancelled all usage of the card - even whilst we travelled in Europe- until I presented myself to the nearest branch to confirm personal details and documents. Although it can never be concluded 100% that this was dvdsetshop, it was enough for us to be told by our bank that the attempted breach was from Chongqing China, an address clearly stated on your postage information when you receive your boxset.
In conclusion I feel we were extremely naive customers in our excitement to receive entire seasons of shows you never seem to get the time to see on TV at a massive discount price. In the long run we got less than what we paid for and you can't put a price on the endless emailing, chasing and security breach to our credit card. Now we opt for Amazon!
Hope this info helps
