This company recently changed their name from Calee Inc. to Dynamic Balance. They are still ran by the same CEO, Jennifer Harris, have the same management team, and operate out of the exact same office in Bellevue, Washington. They probably changed their name because Calee Inc. was associated with "scam" and "pyramid scheme". I write this complaint because Dynamic Balance (Calee Inc.) is a trap for recent college graduates looking for a career.
All you have to do is go here "http://tinyurl.com/yg5hw6r" to see how many listings they have on career builder. As I am writing this complaint, there are 18 jobs listed for Dynamic Balance (Calee Inc.) ranging from "Sales Marketing Consultant" to "Management Trainee!!". These catchy, provocative job titles are meant to entice those recently out of school or laid-off. They promise quality experience, with the possibility to advance in the hierarchy is a soon as 6 months "depending on the capabilities, determination and work ethic each candidate."
This is simply not true, and is used as clever bait to lure as many "applicants" as possible. The reason why I quote "applicants" is because if you can travel from business park to business park, have reasonable interpersonal skills, and graduated from a University; you will be hired. I'm sure your asking yourself, "How can that be? Why do they have so many listings for new positions...and how can they afford to bring aboard that many people?" Dynamic Balance (Calee Inc.) will not answer this question until the last few hours of the second all-day interview. The answer is simple. This job has no base pay, and is purely commission based.
As a door-to-door (business to business) salesman for Dynamic Balance (Calee Inc.), you sell products of other companies who use Dynamic Balance as an outsourced sales-force. Since no base-pay, salary, or benefits are offered to the "Sales Marketing Consultants" (95% of the workforce) Dynamic Balance can hire as many people as they want. The turnover rate for employees is staggering; therefore, they constantly put out hundreds of job listings.
This is a modern-day pyramid scheme for these exact reasons. The lower 95% of the workforce sells all of the products (for a small commission), and the managers sit at the top, hiring as many people as possible, all the while taking the largest cut. They try and entice you into believing you will become a manager within "2 years". NOT TRUE. I went through the "hiring" process (if you call it that) and was paired with one of the lead salesman. He had been their for over 2.5 years, had been the top salesman, and still was not promoted. If he was smart, he would have brought his sales numbers to the original company outsourcing their sales, and worked in their sales department (for salary, benefits, 401k, etc.).
Do not waste your time with Dynamic Balance. They hope that you work for them for 2 years, until you can't take it anymore...and then quit. Then they will offer 8 other people the next day to take your spot. If you have a college degree...you can do way better than this. Don't be another disgruntled victim.
