A gentleman came in to my small business office uninvited last week while I was I was with a client, stating he worked for ATT, and that he was my account representative here to do a product/service review. He carried an ATT binder, and had an ATT name badge. He asked for my ATT bill which he reviewed. While I was with my client, he called ATT to confirm that I was already getting the best rates available, though he did tell me that I could upgrade my internet. I told him I would consider it at another time, and he left.
He proceeded to go from office to office doing the same thing, and when questioned, stated he was an ATT employee.
I called ATT later that day, and they stated that while they showed a call in from someone about my account, this person was NOT an ATT employee.
Again today, ANOTHER young man came to my office, and I asked him to leave immediately or I would call the police. He again told me that he was an ATT employee and was 'assigned' to my account. ATT denies this.
When contacting Dzurenda today, they state that the company is hired under contract to work with ATT, and thus they have the right to state that they are employees.
THIS IS NOT TRUE. Contractors are NOT employees, they are contractors -- just ask the IRS -- and this company is trying to sell products that businesses do not need. They are NOT account reps for ATT!!
