An online auction company detected that the seller of my upscale classic automobile was not the legal owner. The online auction company cancelled the auction and suspended the seller from receiving its auction services. The documents relating to a second auction;however, indicates that the online auction was reinstated by the same auction online company following a two day suspension. The suspended seller, a resident of VA, was then permitted by the same auction company to list the vehicle. The auction company was now and more than aware that any purchase transaction would be illegal.
A business associate of the online auction company who resided in North Carolina took illegal possession of the vehicle without title or permission or intent by the owner to sell it, declaring that he had won the auction. The initial intent by the auction associate was to register the vehicle in Texas without detection by the legal owner. The legal owner, however, reported the vehicle stolen when the person who he had authorization to use the vehicle could not account for where the vehicle was. It was at this point that the auction company and its associate contacted the legal owner for the first time in an attempt to extort and obtain title.
The local sheriff in North Carolina did not make any attempt to assist in the recovery of the vehicle but declared that the auction business associate was a victim that had been taken advantage of as a result of a fraudulent transaction. For a period of six months the vehicle was hidden and a title for the stolen vehicle was issued in Irving, Tx, to the associate residing in North Carolina. I am the legal owner with title in VA. My ownership of the vehicle is now 23 years. As to autocheck, the vehicle is listed as stolen from me, the original owner with records of a title in Texas as being fraudulently obtained.
This is an organized manner in which select vehicles are being stolen and retitled in states permitting the registration of vehicles by mail without cross referencing. We should all be careful when we attempt to help others by loaning them transportation. I am 63 and disabled; but I am still entitled to the return of my vehicle and the memories. All documents pertaining to this summary are available. An investigation will reveal that fraudulent practices relating to title insurance fraud is also involved.
The influence of the auction company involved is obvious and several of the persons that are aware of the issues pertaining to the related fraudulent practice are either looking the other way or are not prepared to confront and investigate. In the meanwhile, the federal authorities are on furlough and are involved in more important issues pertaining to National Security. I am continuing to pay insurance premiums and I am in full compliance with Virginia's automobile ownership statures.
Please help me get my automobile back. I HAVE TITLE.
