accounts at E-Bay Suspended
We have 3 family members who had e-bay accounts...including mine. The problems with E-Bay suspending an account without consulting the seller is legend. Any number of reasons can be used by E-Bay...link to another account; buyer complaint; too many items linked to another account, etc. It's too much trouble to list items on E-Bay and the next day the account is suspended for whatever the E-Bay staff deems a violation.

Seller Fee Refunds
I have overpaid my E-Bay seller fees using Paypal and after 12 days I am still waiting for that overpayment to be refunded back into my Paypal account. E-Bay says it may take until May 28th to be refunded. This all occured when it was not clear on my E-Bay account that the seller fees owed has already been deducted from my personal bank account. So when I checked to use my Paypal account to pay the fees - my account was showing a balance owed which I then paid using my Paypal account. So the seller fees were paid twice - once by my bank account and once with me using Paypal. My disgruntlement comes with the fact that Paypal and E-Bay are connected and it should not take this long to have fees refunded. I have called and talked to E-Bay and Paypal. E-Bay customer service even at one point connected me to Paypal knowing that Paypal would tell me that Paypal couldn't do anything about it on their end. What a run around. I also have a problem with how Account Fees in E-Bay are shown - obviously I would not have paid my fees twice if it had been more clear on what was owed. Money was taken out of my bank account on May 4th but did not show as such on E-Bay on May 5th. I am sure others have had this same problem with fees. I am tired of waiting for my refund - it should not take this long for a electronically generated refund between two business affiliates!

Instant Payment
I thought I should let someone know Im' kind of getting sick and tired of auctions an e-bay requiring inmediate payment. First of all I understand that sellers are getting ripped off and so on. On the other half I am not a scammer, Im a decent, honest person. I am complaining based on shipping times, due to the fact that seller who require inmediate payment require a lot more time to ship items. I think that if a seller requires inmediate payment e-bay should force him to ship inmediately. Im finding out that the great majority of sellers that do not require inmediate payment ship items within two days. On the other hand sellers that require inmediate payment ship out in 5 or 6 days. This sucks! I do not bid on e-bay, I go straight to the buy it now auctions bacause I want my items fast, I don't do it because I want to pay a bit more just for the fun of it. So, basically what I'm saying is that e-bay must regulate somehow the use of instant payment option, I think is not fare that a seller gets his money right away while the buyer has to wait 5 days for him to ship the item out.

Buyers scam
I recently sold an 18K Gold and Stainless Rolex GMT watch to a guy, who I thought was in Branson Missouri, on e-bay. I found out later that he was in California and that it was actually shipped to another e-bayer in Branson, Missouri. After it was paid I shipped it the next day. Upon it arriving in Branson, Missouri I received an e-mail stating that it wasn't what the client wanted, that the box was fake and so was the watch band and they wanted to return it.I knew better than that, because before shipping the item I had it serviced at an authorized Rolex dealer, I even had the band polished. These guys along with a third accomplice, who is their watch maker, pulled a scam on me that has me convinced to never trust e-bay again. I was power seller with eleven years of doing business on e-bay, 100% feed back( Which by the way, means nothing to e-bay) until I was scammed by these guys. The way they work the scam is the primary guy is in Branson, Missouri, he sets upwhat appears to be a legitimate business selling watches. He hires a watchmaker (who happens to have a criminal past) and then hires individuals to buy watches for him on e-bay. The watches are sent to an address in Branson, Missouri that is nothing more than a UPS drop off store. Once there the crooks decide which watches they will try to get the buyers to refund some or all of the money and which ones they will legitemately pay for.( They do buy some to make it appear that they are legitimate to e-bay)For every watch they do buy, they steal a couple in between, it's like getting three for the price of one. In my case they wanted me to refund them $1500.00 of the $3500.00 to cover the cost for a new watch band. I told them no and agreed to refund their money providing the watch was returned to me in the same condition as it was when I shipped it. Upon inspecting the watch on it's arrival to me I discovered that it felt lighter than it was before I sent it out. i took it to the authorized Rolex dealer and they thought something was fishy. They recommended that I send it to Rolex USA in new york and that was when it was discovered that they had swapped the band. The band they put on it had Roles Stainless Steel links but the heavy 18K gold links were switched with non-Rolex 14K links. I refused to refund the money and the buyer complained to e-bay. Without my permission e-bay refunded this crook his money under the new buyer protection policy.I appealed this decision and cited that this buyer had other victims and presented proof, Bottom line, e-bay sided with the buyer and told me my loss was the cost of doing business.I had paperwork from the jeweler who I originally bought the watch from and service records from two authorized Rolex dealers. It didn't matter. SELLERS BEWARE!!! E-BAY BUYER PROTECTION, MEANS JUST THAT, BUYER PROTECTION, THERE IS NO SELLER PROTECTION!!!

Over priced, not fair practiced by e-bay
E-bay used to be fun to find and buy things on, plus they always encourged one to sell unwanted items a great way to make a little extra cash, here is the problem unless you are a power seller your item will hardly get viewed, check out the power sellers items, they can have the identical item you are selling and it will show over 100 views for them you will be lucky if you get 3 views on your item, not to mention they will be on the first few pages, you will be lucky to get on page 153 out of say 160 pages, does anyone ever really get to the end? I can't help but wonder if some of the itemsyou list for sale are even listed. I have searched for mine several times and not have found them. Not to mention the fees they charge you, (and then pay pal charges you too!!!)so not only do you not sell your item that is priced lower than the power sellers item and even in better condition, you don't make any money and end up paying money. I tried to sell items that should have sold very easy~~ all the other ones I saw like the ones I had listed were selling for even more than mine were listed for, instead of making any money I had to pay over $56 in fees????

Okay so now try getting an answer to a question you have, forget about the help page its worthless, so you end up having to call, not only will you get a rude customer service agent (I have yet to have spoken with a friendly one) you won't be able to understand them. I am sure their call center is not in the US, since I am calling from the US and English is my language I would like to be answered in English, but the accent is so heavy I usually can't understand them and end up more frustrated than when I called. E-bay has gotten way to big for its britches sp to speak and has forgotten good customer service. I for one have closed my account and am going to try other auction sites. It would be great to see e-bay loose alot of its members so they can get their S#!* togehter and become real again!!!E-bay go back to customer service school and quit ripping us off!!! I for one wish I had read all the negative comments beofre I attempted to sell on e-bay and be robbed by your company!!!

E-Bay supports fraudulent software sellers!
I know the #1 thing that we all know about e-Bay purchasing is to be careful about who you buy from, so I admit I should have known better.

I purchased Microsoft Office 2007 from a seller on e-Bay for around $90.00 who only had 10 feedback. Yep...I shoulda known. Anyway, I purchased it and paid for it immediately. I then get an email from e-Bay telling me that the item was removed, not to pay for it. Ooops, too late! So I immediately called Paypal and let them know. I was told that since e-Bay sent me a warning email, Paypal would refund my money, but I should wait to see if the seller ships the item because they have had no complaints with this seller on his Paypal account (like I was dumb enough to believe that). That was the 1st of May. Oh, the seller also immediately canceled his email address also. The listing said it was in the US and then come to find out was really in China.

About a week to two weeks later, I receive the item. It was plastic wrapped, looked good, so I had my sigh of relief and went on to install the product. It wouldn't install. Really? Am I surprised at this...uh, no. I noticed that the disks were different than my other Office 2007 disks, so I got to looking and found that the disks had sticker labels, not hologram labels embedded into the disk. So I contacted Microsoft and verified with them that the program was fake. I had to give them all of the information for the guy. I scanned all of the images of the disks, the shipping label, the customs label, gave his email address, home address, everything. I recieved an email back from MS that said...yes, it's fake.

I then proceeded to contact e-Bay and when I told them that the gu was selling fraudulent software and mentioned him canceling his email account, I was then told by an e-Bay CS rep..."no, we canceled his account, he did not." I inquired as to why. His response "He had too many complaints of fraudulent software." WHAT? TOO FRIGGIN MANY?? HOW MANY IS TOO MANY? OMG...I'm livid at this point. I called Paypal and informed them about all of this and they told me to file a complaint. This was the 15th of May. So I filed.

The seller responded and told me to send the software back. So Paypal said send it back. Really? I just told you that this guy is selling fraudulent software and you want me to send it back so that he can screw someone else? Did I hear you correctly? Yep, to get my money back, I had to send it back. So I did. Spent $13.00 to ship this back to China (where it wasn't supposed to be from) Priority International. And I waited...

Paypal canceled the claim because the item wasn't received. So I appealed. They canceled again because the package couldnt be tracked. I didn't know Priority International couldn't be tracked until now. So I called and they told me to fax all of my info to them. So I faxed 20 pages of PROOF that the software was FAKE along with my shipping receipt. They canceled the claim again. Okay, so now I am pissed. So I called yesterday and was told that they really don't care if it was fake or not, the seller has to receive the package back to refund my money. E-bay also informed me that there was nothing they could (would) do.

So, in short...both e-Bay and Paypal don't care what someone is selling as long as they get their fees. They have no morals and no ethics, and I was told yesterday that it doesn't even matter how long you have been a good customer, they just can't refund money out of the sellers account even if they know that this seller is commiting FRAUD!

I am now looking for another avenue of e-Bay payment because I cannot do business with people that support these kinds of sellers.

Just beware of buying from e-Bay and do NOT use Paypal unless you can afford to lose your money.

easy USA Grants
On visiting the E-Bay site, it came up you could get FREE information how to use E-Bay for only paying the postage.

Today on my credit card I found a charge for$60.55.
I called thier 1- 800 number and was told that there was a cancellation time period or you would be charged, I did not read it this way. I was also charged the postage fee ( I agreed to pay) $2.95.

To me this is not an honest trans action on the part
of E-Bay

Bad service
My complaint is I'm tired of hitting E-Bay on my favorites and finding photos of women basically nude on their home page. I can understand if this is what I was searching for but to have these on the home page is unacceptable. I'm pretty much fed up with e-bay anyway but having to plow thgrough the bimbos to do a search for whatever I was looking for is unacceptable. Didn't realize E-Bay was a site for adults. I e-mailed them with this complaint and of course it went unanswered. Their customer service absolutely stinks. I'm not a prude but when I have my four year old daughter in my lap I don't want to explain to her why a bimbo is staring her in the face when we're searching for something G rated. Probably won't use E-Bay again. From what I've read on this site I'm not alone. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to speak my mind.
