First and most importantly ... Eagle Windows are top quality and a very fine product! The selling/servicing company, Eagle Windows and Doors of Austin, is horrible to deal with. Eagle windows are top-end, expensive windows. From the beginning, the sales rep we worked with who has been with the company for years, was at the very least incompetent making a huge mistake that cost him dearly to correct. Problems with a previous job coincidently were discovered and Eagle Austin was contacted. They finally responded after repeated and mostly ignored calls and sent a second sales rep (not a service tech) out who was so tobacco saturated that he stunk like an ash tray. Claiming he thoroughly inspected the windows, he subsequently sent us an email claiming we improperly operated our windows and caused the problems. They sent an estimate of how much we would have to pay to get them to make the repairs.

Enough of that! I contacted the Eagle factory and had great communication with their customer service department who sent a traveling service tech by. He analyzed the problems and reported to the factory that there were manufacturing and defective original parts causing the problems. He ordered parts and made another trip to make the repairs. NO CHARGE.

Again, Eagle Windows are great windows. But be prepared if you use Eagle Austin and ever need service. There is a distributor you might consider out of San Antonio.
