The only reason I am writing this, is in hope that someone will do a little more research than I did. I feel stupid that I fell for a scam. I found this company through Yahoo and wow is it a pain in the rear! I finally received confirmation from all three companies, but I did need to take a day off of work to sit by my phone and computer to make sure that I got all cancelled.

Hidden in the Terms and Conditions (that I like many others do not read fully) is two other companies that will give you a service and take money out of your account.

I feel so bad that in today's world, we just can't trust anyone or any company. So please if you are trying to better yourself or see something that may be "too good to be true" PLEASE be a little smarter than I was and do the time consuming and right thing and do some checking first.

By the way the three companies and numbers are as follows:

When I signed up with this, I only got basic and general information and didn't get the computer software I was promised. I attempted a variety of ways to cancel my 'membership'. I have not been successful with that to date. In the mean time, i am being charged by 'Fraud Protection SErvices - fraudprotectionservices.com - for a 'membership' that apparently I signed up for when signing up for the grants program. they are now charing my account as well. I called in and cancelled that from the phone number on my debit card statement, and they won't refund what they've already charged. I found out they are in Canada, though the call center is in the US, from the person who answered the phone. She was able to give me phone numbers for all three companies and would not cancel all three accounts.

Also, in the fine print was a 'membership' for preventmyidtheft.com, who is also charging my debit card.

It takes three phone calls to stop their charges, if you can get them on the phone!
