No plans, no refund, no truth
Contacted ECD in October 2009 about plans for a modular home in NYC. Gave ECD $7600 for plans. Ask for some changes in plan and was promised that they were made. ECD gave me a quote that was $75, 000 more than traditional builders. Decided to have ECD draw plans and told them that I was going with a traditional builder. Told by Dave Marconi from ECD that it was okay and that ECD will do the plans. I was told that the plans will be ready by January 2010. Keep calling in February 2010 and was told they were very busy. Finally after many emails and calls, I was told that they could not finish the plans and that I should find another architect. They promise to refund me back half the money although the plans that they had were not even 20% done. Long story short, never got back the refund and contacted BBB. ECD told BBB that I did not want the refund because I contacted BBB? (huh??) Took ECD to small claims court in Long Island and won. Was suppose to receive my refund in August. It is not October and still no refund. Call ECD and they told me that the check will go out Wednesday of last week. Still no check! ECD lies and continue to lie. I am very disappointed in this company and suggest anyone who wants to hire this company to check whether or not they can deliver. NYC cost more for modular homes because of the transportation costs. I am still without a house and living in an apartment which ECD has incur an additional cost on me. I was treated very poorly.
