Lately there have been alot of online ads avertising "miracle" pills that you take and will help you lose weight. They are offering a free trial in which you only pay shipping of $5.75. These pills include a colon cleaser called Total Cleanse and an acai berry pill. I decided to try the Total Cleanse. I had always wanted to and figured for $5.75, what the hell? I read through all the fine print making sure that this didn't mean I was signing up for some program which was actaully going to cost me more or anything, and seeing nothing like this, I went ahead and ordered. I was promted to give my credit card information in order to pay for the order. This was about the middle of December 2008 My order didn't arrive till about three weeks later in the beginning of January. When it arrived there was a paper in the box with it that said unless I cancelled my "membership" my next shipment would be sent costing $78.00. I thought what? And immediately I called the number on the paper and told the girl I spoke to that I wanted to do what I had to to make sure that I wasn't charged this. I even offered to send the pills back. She said that wasn't nessessary, cancelled my membership and ensured me that I wouldn't recieve anything more.

I didn't think of it again until a month later, I had recived an email from the company saying that my order was being processed. The email was sent Febuary 2nd, but because I don't check my email on a daily basis I didn't read it till the 5th. I immediately called the company, asked them to ancel the order and told him that I had already cancelled my membership and wasn't supposed to recieve anything more. He apologized, said my order was cancelled and sent me an email confirming it. So again, thought nothing of it. My credit card bill was due soon, so on the 10th of Febuary I logged into my acount to make sure it was all okay before I paid. I found that I been charged $78.84 from the company on the 4th. This also caused me to have an overdraft fee. I was ferious. I clled the company again and spoke to the man I had spoken with before. He kept telling me that I did not cancel my order in time, therefore, there was nothing they could do. This didn't satisfy me. I asked to speak to a manager and was transfered to a Jamie Smith. I repeated my story to them, and once again got the same answer. They said they had no record of me calling and cancelling in January. I told them it wasn't my fault their employees didn't do their job and that I refused to pay for someone I didn't want, let alone recieve. I threatened that I would call the BBB if nessessary. They quickly changed thier tone and said that they were going to issue a refund request for the amount. I have yet to se if it, its been over a week. But I'll be calling back.

Point of the story, don't fall for this company's scam.
