Breaking so many laws...
My wife and I have had to make a very hard choice. File for bankruptcy. In doing so, you have to include ALL of your creditors. With that, we included Easyhome.
The papers were sent out over 2 weeks ago and yet Easyhome claims that they never received them while everyone else (even on the east coast) have received them. After talking to them on the phone, they told me they have every right to keep calling, calling my references, harassing us at the door and so on. I decided to make a bold move and obtained a copy of the bankruptcy papers and served them to the store manager. The manager in turn told me that they don't recognize these papers and we need to return the items. Our bankruptcy trustee told us not too and if we did, would put us in a bad situation with the bankruptcy.
My trustee called the store, talked to the manager, explained how everything works and then told me not to worry about them any more. Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Several hours later, my wife calls me at work to inform me that Easyhome was at my door demanding the product back. I called my trustee right away and she called the store to tell them to back off. The store manager wouldn't even talk to her. The store manager (Zach) left her on hold for quite a while til another employee pick up the phone and told my trustee that he was busy. All the while he was on the phone with the 2 gentlemen at our door telling them to bang on the doors, windows, what ever they could do to get our attention. The 2 guys at our door spoke with our trustee and understood what SHOULD happen. Speaks a lot to how Easyhome trains their management team...if you want to call them that!
In the end we had to call the RCMP to have Easyhome removed from my property. My trustee has filed a complaint with the Superintendent of Bankruptcy's (who will fine them up the ass).
I will NEVER use them again, nor will I EVER recommend them. I hope one day they experience what they dish out.

Computer Deactivation
I currently have a laptop through Easyhome, which I use for my business. I was working away at some important business things on my laptop and all of a sudden my computer shut off. Easyhome deactivated the hardware on my computer and I wasn't even a week late with my payment. I don't think that its fair that they could do that without warning...If it was an hour later I was on my way with my payment. This is not right and I think that something should be done that they cannot do that!!!

Scammers
I have been a long time Easyhome customer with no problems at all HOWEVER, I moved to another province and went to rent a bed again from them... they had all my info in their computer and could even tell me what I had rented in the past and when, but when it came to getting another bed from them they said that they had no idea how much equity I had put into the bed (duh?!?! it's in your computer) so they just randomly picked an amout... knocked off a few weeks at the end of the rental term. The manager was extremely rude because I only owed $400 on the other bed I had rented in the other province. I think it was because she didn't want to lose out on any money. Be aware that they don't always honour their "Investment Transfer Promise" AND they made my payment due dates to be Sunday's when they aren't even open... and then call rudely Monday morning saying I was due yesterday. Giving back the bed in a few weeks.

EXPERIANCED RIP OFF ARTISTS
On May 20th 2010 I rented a 42 inch Plasma T.V. from Easyhome. The total price of the USED T.V. was 949.00 with a one year contract. When They wrote up the contract and I got home I noticed they tried to screw me, the contact was for a new t.v. even the serial number was diffrent from the T.V. I wanted. The contract was for 2698.80 and was for three years. I finally got that fixed and had my new contract. I was over half paid off when we decided to move and since I paid the insurance protection coverage and with that easy home can come and move the T.V. for me. we stayed at the new house and left the T.V. hidden in our apertment until the next day, that night there was a water leak from our apartment to the downstairs apartment and the fire department was called, anyway they enterd our place through the patio doors and did not lock it when they left. Someone after that came into the apartment and took the t.v. and went out the back door with it. I called the police have a report and the police even said the firemen noticed there were people across the street watching them until they left. But anyways I have been paying all the insurance on the T.V for theft and now they say I can come and rent a new t.v. but have to start from scratch. They got a new T.V. from their insuranse and they get to keep all the money I paid on it, I DONT THINK SO. What was I paying insurance for, it did not help me at all. They got everything back but I am out over 600.00 plus all of the insurance money I was paying them. Now they are trying to say I only payed 400.00 on it BULL-S#$*!. I rented the T.V. In may 2010 the T.V. was taken December 2010. the payments were 19.00 per week and I paid for 8 months, that is little over 600.00. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THESE RIP OFF ARTIST!!!

Keep taking money from bank
Bought a TV from these donkeys 15 years ago payed it of in payments. In FULL. WELL...come to realize I haven`t used that bank account in years for anything but getting my insurance payment taken from there. NOTICED SOMETHING VERY ODD... these BASTARDS are still taking 6.22 out of my account every month to this day. WTF!!! I know 6.22 per month does not sound like a lot but over a period of 15 years...and the product has been payed off. LETS DO THE MATH!!! 6.22per month times 14 years did I say WTF!!! $1044 is what these fuckers owe me NOW!!! Pay up bitches or we are going have some fun.

Prices, Service, Everything
I used to work for this terrible company as a "Collector". DO NOT EVER RENT ANYTHING FROM EASYHOME!! Trust me, from someone who used to work there. First thing's first, the rate at which they lease merchandise is at least 4 times the book value. Example, a NEW tv is worth $950, they will sell this tv for $24 per week. The catch is the term of the lease is THREE YEARS!!! That totals $3800!!! And that doesn't include the liability coverage which is mandatory at 15% of what the product is worth and tax! So you will end up spending $4938 for that TV, and that doesn't count if you're ever late which is $10 per item! Also, about 75% of the items in the store are used, don't ever let them tell you it isn't because they will try. And any harrassment you get, trust me the employees are forced to do it. If the collector doesn't call you, your references, your employer and anyone else listed he or she will get in trouble. Oh and they will also visit your home and your family's home to try and take your stuff if you don't call them back. Management is an absolute joke, they treat the employees like shit, pay them like shit and that's why the turnover rate is so high. The day I got a better job and quit that place was the best day of my life! Don't ever walk in that store to rent anything! Peace and Love!

ripped off
TO START I PUT $ DOWN ON A PILLOWTOP MATTRESS THAT NEVER CAME IN. MEANWHILE THEY GAVE US A CRAPPY MATTRESS TO SLEEP ON. WE NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT AND WERE PLANNING ON PAYING OFF THE MATTRESS WITHIN 4 MTHS. THEY KEPT SAYING OH WE ORDERED IT TWO WEEKS TURNED INTO 4 MTHS. NOT COOL AT ALL. THEN THEY FINALLY GET A MATTRESS IN NOT THE ONE WE ORDERED STILL I WAS OKAY WITH THE EURO TOP THEY HAD THEN THEY TRIED RIPPING ME OFF TELLING ME THAT IF I WANT THE EUROTOP MATTRESS WHICH REPLACED THE PILLOWTOP I ORIGINALLY ORDERED I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TWICE AS MUCH WITH A PAYMENT AND BEGIN A NEW CONTRACT ALL OVER AGAIN.OR PAY 420.00 THE NEXT DAY FOR IT OUTRIGHT. WHAT A CROCK OFF CRAP I TOLD HIM TO COME PICK UP HIS MATTRESS OR I WOULD SET IT ON FIRE IN MY YARD . HE DIDNT LIKE THAT. I WOULDNT BUT I FEEL SO MAD WHY GO THROUGH A COMPANY THAT TRIES TO SCREW YOU OVER LIKE THAT. YOU GUYS GET MY MONEY NEVER GIVE ME WHAT I WANT THEN ASK FOR MORE MONEY TO GIVE ME WHAT I NEED. Good customer treated poorly
I have been an excellent customer for 3 years at EasyHome, the staff have been great, however, recently my grandmother passed away who lives in New Brunswick. I had to pay for the flight home and have been a week late here and there for the past month. They have allowed their collection agent to call day in and day out to my home and be very rude and threaten to come get my items. I informed the manager of that location of the rudeness and she did nothing, so I went over her head. I left a complaint on the contact us page on their website. The district manager called me within a few hours, listened to my situation, is dealing with the agent and also gave me a free week to help me get caught up to the point where I will be fine. Moral is: If you are having that many problems with a store, complain to the right people and they will fix it for you.

not allowed to rent
i have been renting from easyhome and i have paid out all my stuff on august 2010...and now the new woman manager doest not let me rent cause I hunged up on her...for emergency reasons...but to let my case known i have contacted my lawyers, and this is just plain prejudice..i am native and yet not allowed to rent.. and no arrears are oweing...cant make sale people acting like that or they should just get a new one cause this has happened to few people already...

Employee Bullying and Harrassment
Lucie is the spawn of the devil! She is completely unprofessional and a power hungry female manager who harrasses and bullies ALL of her employees. She is uncaring and unsympathetic to all situations regarding family life and demands that her employees work extreme overtime and weekends with NO compensation. Beware before you take a job with this company under her direction. You will live to regret ever working for her. Thats a promise.
