illegitimate banning
Ebay is a nightmare to sellers. There is NO way to get a legitimate complaint filed. You will have other seller constantly harassing you with bullsh!t emails and false reports trying to get rid of their competition.
Forget getting help when you have a problem just plan to eat your expenses and pay eBay for the torture of having experienced the trouble because the fees will be charged to you regardless of your innocence.
I won't bored you with the deatils but warn you to forget that online business you think you can make on evil-bay. Ebay has been the worst online experience of my life.

there are a hundred hustles going on at once, all targeting sellers.

Unpleasant experience
I recently tried to list items on Ebay. To my absolute horror I discovered that Ebay have decided sellers are now not allowed to charge for postage in certain categories. I do not sell many items on ebay, but from time to time I have a number of things I either want to get rid of or, like many people have it as a small occasional sideline. How is anybody supposed to carry on selling if you can't charge for postage? Many times, postage can cost anything up to £5 in the UK, and even more for international, and we're supposed to just give them away!

This policy has recently been introduced. It goes alongside all the other policies recently introduced, i.e. increasing Final Value Fees to 10% per item, increasing listing fees for Buy It Now to 40p an item, not allowing sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers who don't pay, and many other little things to alienate and persecute sellers.

Ebay used to be a fun site to buy and sell on, but it is no longer. They have now become too big and arrogant and have completely ruined the site. I will shortly be stopping trading on Ebay altogether and helping to promote alternative sites. Hopefully some competition will come along and replace Ebay altogether one day. They don't deserve to continue trading if they are going to continue in this disgraceful manner.

suspended account
ebay shut off my account for 30 days, claiming, that "LIAR" is a profanity word.

A buyer from ebay bought an item from me, she was playing games from the beginning. She gave me the wrong address to ship item to. I called her a liar, ebay turns around and suspended my account. Before i sent a message to her, I reported her to ebay 5 times, and Ebay did nto do anything. Now after i contacted BBB, they closed down my account claiming im a threat and a risk to EBAY.

What a laugh!!! Wait till I take them to court.

here is an email from ebay.

not good for sellers
I tried out ebay, Did alot of reading, Research and did my homework. I finally was ready to insert my items. First up was my congas. I was feeling pretty good cuz i had 9 bidders watching and 3 good ranking ebayers decided to bid. Out of no where bids a no ranking ebay( I later learn that this particular bidder or ID has bin doing ths similiar act for three years). Shortly after this fishy act, I recieve a message " SorryBut your item did not sell, But you do qualify to relist" I didn't cuz that would've required A relist and another insertion fee. I sold the tent for next to nothing ( Thank God i posted for local pickup cuz if not, I minus well have givin it away for free with a fee for me to pay. With the few bucks that i gave away the tent for, I inserted 5 more which already ate my profit for the the tent. My Black shower curtain Was up for the final bid with bout 10 min. remaining . Right under my item was an item similiar to mine but was priced at next to nothing and had 29 Days left. That tarnished the possibility of selling my item (I thought the top of the list was for final bids, According to what i read) . Again, I may relist the Item ( with more fees of course). Finally, My last draw was when my silver certificate was up for final bids. I could not find it in the first two final bids pages. I feel as if ebay was trying to generate more fees for my items with these fishy acts. I wll not sell or give anything away to ebay for a fee when i can give it away for free to family and friends. Ebay did not help me with my items (like i read) . Instead they were trying generate more fees. I will not list on ebay or waste my time. If i do go back, It will be to buy or get an item for very cheap.

Ebay Buyers Never Pay Now
I have been selling and buying on Ebay for about 9 years now. As you probably know Ebay & PayPay are almost one and the same, and both have changed their policies to where the buyers can really screw over the sellers. You cannot give any type of negative feedback to BUYERS on Ebay, the only thing you can do is check the GREEN DOT and leave commits. I suggest you leave true commits for the DEAD beats. I now read the commits because Sellers are starting to leave the real feedback there!
Anyway, I recently ended a series of auctions on Ebay a couple of week back.
50% of the BUYERS Did not pay. That's right 50%. No, I did not ship! I had to contact the buyers as per Ebay policies, I had to wait and wait before I could file a dispute, then I had to wait some more. The we have to wait to get our listing fees and final auction fees back, and plead with Ebay to return them. Yes Ebay charges you the Fee's and the 8.75% selling fee's even though the BUYER hasn't paid YET!
The Ebay Buyers are even so brazen that they will Email you saying they are not going to pay, and Ebay will Do NOTHING. Ebay does NOT CARE IN THE LEAST! I have copies of the Emails and phone conversations to prove it!
I honestly believe these Ebay Buyers are are disgruntled Sellers who are creating new Ebay ID's to get back at ebay!
So, Sellers on Ebay beware!
P.S. I hope someone will come up with a alternative to Ebay & PayPal very Soon.

Scam and cheating
I recently listed a pair of 700w radiators on ebay for auction on the 5th of January 09. On the day that the auction was due to end ebay decided to end my listing and cancel the bids on it as it was apparently "breaching ebay policy" as in the title it had the words "As New" I put that the radiator was "As New" because it had been used however the condition was "As New". I didnt decide to list these things because im rolling in money! It has really annoyed me that Ebay decided to end the listing when there was quite alot of interest in the item, if they decided to end it within the first couple of days I wouldnt of minded as much as there were no bids.

Another thing that is also VERY annoying is that they ended it and then told me that it was eligible for relisting, which means that i will have to pay another listing fee and the chances are that the people who are interested in it will not bid again as they do not trust me as a seller!

I beleive that this is just another way to gain money out of its customers, as the reasons for cancelling listing for keyword spamming were "use of inapropriate keywords it the title for gaining attention" and the use of "brand names" has my listing title "as New" got anything to do with these policies? I think not!

Policies NON payer kilfil
Ebay policies beware Sellers: Beware if this Ebay ID who is buying on Ebay kilfil They will buy your item and NOT pay! I recently sold an item to this person. They refused to pay! I followed all of Ebay's policy and procedures. I tried for days and days to get my listing and final fee's back from Ebay and to relist the item. I sent the buyer 2 invoices on different days, I sent emails to the buyer with no response. I had to wait the minimum number of days to file a NON PAYMENT dispute, and only then did I get this response from the EBAY BUYER kilfil. Even after I received this Email from the buyer through Ebay's message center Ebay refused to take any action! Below is a copy of the Email I received from Kilfil through Ebay's message center about payment: {yes, Ebay Can and does access YOUR messages}
Dear {my eBay user ID}
do whatever you want, besides eBay could care less about sellers. don't you know that you cant even give me bad feedback because there is no option for that. Perhaps that's something ebay needs to change. Sellers are not protected by ebay or paypal. An unpaid strike is really nothing... sorry about the ignorance on my behalf it but that's all I can do.
Again, above is the actual message I received from the buyer! I called Ebay and emailed ebay calling their attention to this message he sent ! They said and I quote : "we can't do anything for you at all" you will just have to continue with the long drawn out process and wait and wait and wait.
Scam
I have finally, after many attempts managed to sell an item on ebay. I have encounters too many hackers, phishers and dodgy emails from Nigeria, Poland and the US. Then there are the ones who bid and dont pay. Wouldn't it be nice if ebay could flush out these rogues so we could buy and sell without worry.
