Discrimination
I have been a member of EBay since 2001. I have bought and sold items on EBay for the last seven years. I always paid and accapted payments with checks and USPS Money Orders. Now EBay changed their rules so you can't use anything other than an electronic process to buy or pay for goods.

Earlier this year I had a CC on file with EBay. The account number was stolen and was used by an unknown persons to charge things on several unauthorized sites. The CC issuer caught the fraud and advise us of it. We were able to get the unauthorized charges taken off uor account. The CC was canceled and closed. The only place it was used was on EBay online and thats how the criminals got the number.

Now EBay won't let me place any adds or bid because I don't have the electronic means to pay or accept payments.

In a modern age it is discrimination against senior citizens to prevent them from participating in a legal transactions.

Its hard enough paying for medecine to keep alive on, now I can't even sell a few things to help pay for medicines I need.

Bad service
I recieved no reply after filing 2 compaints about a despute with a seller over the amount of shipping. I was subsenquently given a nonpayment bad mark against my account.

I closed my account with ebay after having been in excellentstanding with a 100%.

It is too late to do anythinything for me. Ebay has no customer service and needs to get customr service. It is almost impossible to find proper contact information for the company on its website.

Poor customer service
A few days ago I received from Ebay in my Ebay inbox on their site a coupon for 10% off any purchase made before November 30th, 2008.

Today I found an item I was interested in buying and checked to see if the coupon was still in my inbox on the Ebay site. It was still there and was still valid. I went ahead with the purchase only because I thought I was getting a 10% off coupon applied to the price of the item.

I won the item and went ahead to try to pay for the item and apply the coupon code. I got an error telling me that the code didn't work. I looked into it and discovered my email addresses in Ebay and Paypal were different. I did what the coupon said to do and changed my Ebay email so they were the same. It still didn't work.

I then got on a help chat with agent who was less than helpful and eventually closed the chat on me, even though I was nothing but cordial and patient in requesting help. After my incident I researched the issue on the internet and apparently there are many people who have had issues using these coupons.

Due to the fact that I complied with the terms of the coupon and was treated very rudely by agent in an Ebay help chat, I would like Ebay to credit me the $10.35 of the $103.49 purchase price of the item I purchased. Being a good Ebayer, I went ahead and paid the seller as this is no fault of theirs, but until this is addressed, I don't think I'll be using Ebay for any purchases in the future, which is a shame as I've always been a prompt and responsible user of the site.

Fraud and scam
eBay, the multimillion dollar giant that has been king of the online shopping world could be in trouble. A company that not so long ago began in someones living room and become this GIANT eating up a good portion of the online shopping word by acquiring many, many companies including Paypal being their biggest jewel.

They have forgotten their roots and what made them so successful, their sellers. The sellers that have been paying them for many years, millions of dollars in fees, and now eBay decided to CONTROL the entire playing field forcing longtime sellers to vacate. As they merged with buy.com and bought out other online players for fear of competition, they decided they wanted to be more like Amazon and start selling like an online Walmart rather than the auction site that buyers and sellers alike grew to love over the years. Well there’s no love anymore. eBay has become like a small government, a bad government. Hated by the world and most Americans (sort of like Washington). When John Donahoe took charge of the company this past year, the changes began. Sellers and buyers have been jumping ship like its on fire. It’s not a good place to do business anymore.

Client abuse
eBay restricted my account. I did everything they wanted to get it back. It is still restricted.

It's been more than a week since I tried to contact a eBay's employe. They keep their contact information (phone number, fax number, etc.) secret. There is no way a single customer like me can get help from them. Even when I write them an eMail, they reply back with a pre-writed auto-response message. What can we do?

Gestapo Operation Of 21St Century
Last Friday, our listings were removed under the pretext that our account was under performing and that our customer service feedback was below ebay Standards. Since then, we have tried to reach out to you via you 866 number, email chats and email. Nobody in your establishment is able to tell us exactly what went wrong and what we did to cause you to abruptly remove all our listings without notice. Our recent records showed that we had over 99% Positive feedback, we received great reviews and the only disputes we had open were from non paying bidders. We strive for excellence and work with all clients to resolve any unforeseen issues.

For years, we have been a loyal client of Ebay and built our enterprise around ebay store and one of the main venues to build sales and get global product exposure. Today, I have to admit that I am very disappointed in the run around we have received and the difficulty we have experienced to talk to your Trust and safety representative. I am left with the feeling that Ebay does not care about its sellers that generate most of its revenue and that its actions resembles a gestapo operation for lack of better word.

A quick search on Google will show that you have a growing generation of irate clients that you have been mistreated and that they are expressing their disappointment in Ebay via all available means online. This is clearly the WRONG way to do business and not very promising of bright future for Ebay.

I have pleaded and begged for a call back to resolve our situation and determine what caused you to act in this manner and you have refused to return or answer my calls. Your lack of action and Wellingness to address my concern will leave me no other choice but to seek justice outside the Ebay system and take my business somewhere else.

i never asked for anything from them but they are charging me monthl
I do not want anything from ebay but they charge me every month and now want to bill me an annual charge. I have tried repeatedly to get the monthly charge stopped to no avail. I refuse to pay an annual fee for something i do not want and will not use.

unfair business practices
I am an ebay seller, I sell small, inexpensive parts and hardware in an ebay "store", ebay charges a monthly fee for the storefront, a small insertion fee for each listing, and 12 per cent of the final sale price. Recently they have been encouraging sellers to offer free shipping, and to add the shipping cost to the sale price. Obviously this will add to ebay's bottom line since the seller would be paying to ebay the final value fee on the price of the item and on the shipping cost. What I think is unfair is ebay's decision to limit the amount that can be charged for shipping on certain items EVEN WHEN THE ACTUAL SHIPPING COST IS HIGHER, and then to charge the final value fee on the difference. Of course, ebay claims this will help sellers, as they always do when they find new and creative ways to squeeze more money out of each transaction. I just think it is unfair and dishonest to require sellers to charge less than their actual shipping costs in some instances and then charge them a commission on the difference.
