Bad service
eBay restricted my account. I did everything they wanted to get it back. It is still restricted.

It's been more than a week since I tried to contact a eBay's employe. They keep their contact information (phone number, fax number, etc.) secret. There is no way a single customer like me can get help from them. Even when I write them an eMail, they reply back with a pre-writed auto-response message. What can we do?

Gestapo operation of 21St century
Last Friday, our listings were removed under the pretext that our account was under performing and that our customer service feedback was below ebay Standards. Since then, we have tried to reach out to you via you 866 number, email chats and email. Nobody in your establishment is able to tell us exactly what went wrong and what we did to cause you to abruptly remove all our listings without notice. Our recent records showed that we had over 99% Positive feedback, we received great reviews and the only disputes we had open were from non paying bidders. We strive for excellence and work with all clients to resolve any unforeseen issues.

For years, we have been a loyal client of Ebay and built our enterprise around ebay store and one of the main venues to build sales and get global product exposure. Today, I have to admit that I am very disappointed in the run around we have received and the difficulty we have experienced to talk to your Trust and safety representative. I am left with the feeling that Ebay does not care about its sellers that generate most of its revenue and that its actions resembles a gestapo operation for lack of better word.

A quick search on Google will show that you have a growing generation of irate clients that you have been mistreated and that they are expressing their disappointment in Ebay via all available means online. This is clearly the WRONG way to do business and not very promising of bright future for Ebay.

I have pleaded and begged for a call back to resolve our situation and determine what caused you to act in this manner and you have refused to return or answer my calls. Your lack of action and Wellingness to address my concern will leave me no other choice but to seek justice outside the Ebay system and take my business somewhere else.

Unfair practices
I have an ebay account and there is alot of problems with new policies. From my understanding if you have detailed seller rating of less than 4.3, they can restrict your account. Mine are all above 4.5. They have however., restricted my ability to sell ( conveniently after i filed a BBB complaint because items i listed and paid for listing, were not being shown in searches. There are a litany of people that are beyond fed up with ebay.

TICKET SCAM
"2 Tickets for Leeds festival bought on ebay, found to be a scam. The user, stephen090500 scammed at least 10 people, all of whom (including myself) have complained to paypal. Though the individual disputes with paypal are void, due to them being for items bought more than 45 days ago, their terms and conditions state if multiple disputes are opened, paypal may launch an inquiry up to 180 days after the purchase.
Thus far, it has been intensely difficult not only to get them to start an investigation but also to acknowledge that more than one person has even contacted them over this seller.

I lost £450.99, which i paid for two tickets. Others have been unlucky enough to buy more than 2 tickets, with one person being more than £1000 out of pocket!
Details about the numerous people scammed can be seen on this forum;

Forced Unsecure Payment Methods
I am in the process of cleaning up $12, 500 worth of airline tickets charged to my Pay Pal accounts. This included debit, credit card and the bank checking account tied to PayPal. Not the first time I've had to deal with fraud through Pay Pal.

My computer has good, current virus and spyware on it. The 'geek squad' at Best Buy found no planted keylogging program/virus and they just guffawed at the lack of 'security' on the PP site. Their comment was it is "not safe, no matter what they say".

Last year someone hacked into Pay Pal and listed hundreds of individuals' names, socials and credit card# w/security codes onto a discussion board thread on Ebay. Every few lines he stuck in "wheeeee!!!" I saw this myself yet Ebay/PayPal (one and the same) covered it up and denied there was anything to it.

I would recommend NOT using Pay Pal. Let Ebay know what the concerns are as they are starting a new "policy" around the end October 2008 not allowing sellers to list any payment option other than Pay Pal. This is not out of concern for buyer/seller safety, it is only another way for them to get more money in their already deep pockets.

Suspended for selling purses on Ebay that I BOUGHT ON EBAY
I was suspended for 12 months even though I had over 100 SALES TRANSACTIONS with 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK. I sold Coach purse's NO FAKES but further more-I BOUGHT EVERY PURSE OFF EBAY! I never had a customer tell me their bag was fake, I never sold a fake but I was suspended for selling the bags that I just bought off ebay- because they suspected they might be fake. I was suspended several times, each time I would ask "what did I do wrong?" they always give a very vague general reply "it could be fake" or it could be a "copy rights issue". Ok, that does not help me. They charge for listing the item they pulled and when they suspend you they pull all of your items and you still have to pay the fee. Then they will allow you back on about 1 week later, you list the same items they will sometimes let them sell or sometimes they will pull them AGAIN! and still charge you the second fee! This happen several times, the last time resulting in a 12 month suspension. I bought in bulk lots on Ebay because thats what they said to do-Buy in Bulk-Buy lots on EBAY! Now I am stuck with probably 60 or more purses that I can't even sell fast enough. Between listing them, having them pulled, current stock, the bags that sold but I did not get to collect on because it looked like I was no longer a registered user, I have LOST hundreds and hundreds of dollars! Not to mention the stress of it all. I would really like to do something about it but don't even know where to begin. Any ideas?

Bad service
My complaint is that i listed a few items on ebay and because i did not use pay pal ebay who claims you do not have to use this service that also belongs to them... but because i did not use pay pal ebay recommends customers not to bid on products that the seller has listed without the seller using pay pal so i did not sell my items and now ebay wants me to pay 32 or 33 dollars even though they did not help me to sell my items and the people listing the same items that had used pay pal sold theirs so i feel i should not have to pay them my credit card company agrees and so ebay has terminated my account and now has some collection company calling me 10 times a day it seems what can i do?

Ebay Scams Sellers & Buyers
The Ebay Company scams sellers more than sellers scam buyers. I am fortunate that I caught this early on. Ebay was not listing items that I paid to have listed. Could not find certain items at all. Ebay would not resolve the issue and completely ignored me. My 7 day auctions were never shown to the public at all yet I had to pay for them.

Also, I had blocked bidders with zero feedback. More than once, a fictitious character just creates an account one day, bids on my item, never pays, and eBay gets the final value fee for that item. I do believe Ebay creates these characters themselves. I actually did a US search on one of the characters they created and this person did not exist at all. Even though I blocked these types of buyers, Ebay allowed these buyers to bid on my items, win and then disappear. The result, Ebay takes a percentage of that sale. Those few cents and dollars add up to millions that eBay itself is scamming out of sellers.

I am through with Ebay selling. Ebay is HIGHLY unethical. I don’t know when eBay decided to start in the scam business but it should be a public news matter, and will be if I can help it.

I really feel the our US Government needs to crack down on the Ebay company because they have had free will to practice any way they please and the scam needs to stop. Public awareness is a start. The press will be alerted and I do believe in the very near future, this scam produced and run by eBay will be a highlighted focus in the news media, as it should be.

The Government should take a good hard look at what Ebay is doing to sellers on that forum. It is disgusting! It has not been regulated and it should be. Our Government went after Microsoft simply for their $$ and Microsoft is a reputable company. Ebay is not and is scamming their sellers on a daily basis and getting away with it, making millions of dollars on what appears to be a lucrative, professional forum. This needs to STOP now!

Also, another point, Ebay and Paypal are sister companies. They are in this together and go hand in hand. I now wonder if some of the fictitious scam sellers are actually employed by Ebay/Paypal. If they are stealing from sellers, what is stopping them from stealing from buyers? Nobody. I honestly believe a good majority of Ebay scammers actually are employed by Ebay/Paypal. If you’ll notice, there is rarely resolution to those types of scams and Ebay and Paypal look like innocent bystanders. I’ve been scammed on purchases and Ebay or Paypal did absolutely nothing. They do absolutely nothing to protect sellers. I do believe they have stepped way over their boundaries and hopefully soon they will get caught in this net of deceit. I am quite sure they are being investigated and I’m quite sure they know it. I would personally be a decoy for our Government to catch Ebay in the act. Heck, I’d do it for free!
