Obssessive and controlling manner
I am 40 years old and I have NEVER dealt with such an obsessed, paranoid, controlling, uncaring and ridiculous company in my ENTIRE life.
They have gone past the point of customer care or concern.
If they went bust tomorrow it wouldn't matter because the owners are set up for life! They know that so what does it matter to them!
All this time they are laughing in our faces because they know that some people depend on eBay as an income!
My biggest dream in the world would be for eBay to go under tomorrow and everybody all team together in the biggest law suit in the entire world and sue the owners for gross misconduct and lack of morals and care for their customers!
Maybe being at the bottom of the pile in this life will remind then exactly how difficult life can be when you really have to work for everything you have got in life!

Releasing personal info
Ebay gave out my personal info to someone who just 'asked' for it. My phone rang in the middle of the night - scared the crap outta my wife and woke up the baby.
I had no prior transactional relationship with this person - they phoned me in the middle of the night to ask a question about something I was selling - a horrible breach of trust on ebay's part.
Please be careful with them.

Bad Complaint Policies
Our only defense against scam purchases through Ebay is the ability to post negative feedback towards the scammer so others will know to avoid them. Ebay has changed their time limits for filing negative feedback. If you haven't done it within 30 days of the purchase, you are out of luck. Scam sellers like gold3288gold (T-Motorsports) deliberately wait two to three weeks to send you the product. As in my case, the item was missing a part when it arrived so I was required to send it back for a replacement which took another 14 days to come back. Then it didn't work, so I sent it back for replacement. 14 days later it came back in the same condition so I requested my money back. They said, "Up Yours. The 30-day refund limit has passed". Then I find out I cannot leave negative feedback because Ebay takes that privilege away after 30 days. That completely sucks, especially when you have warranty issues like in my case. Such things can take months to finalize The seller can use Ebay's stupid rules against unsuspecting buyers by using delaying tactics. I shall deal with retailers before I ever purchase anything through Ebay again.

wont send my items
I bought regularly from ebay, but when my son was in the hospital I wasnt around to pay for my items for a few days. When I returned I found my account has been suspended due to unpaid item strikes. They have stopped sending me even the items that I have paid for!!! I tried e-mailing them so I could try to track down the dozens of purchaced goods that were supposed to be mailed to me but they will not help me, and I dont even have access to my account to see what the merchandise is or wich vendors I purchased from. My account is still suspended and everyday that goes by I recieve more unpaid item strikes. Ive tried to track using my paypal but most of the listings there are in another language and dont make any sense to me. Dont trust EBAY ! ! THEY ARE DISHONEST CROOKS! !

Holding my account hostage
Not sure where to begin. I sold a piece of radio gear to a user named Appboone. Turned out to be a liar and cheat, only wanted to cause trouble, didn't really want to buy the equipment. Buyer claimed equipment was illegal to sell or possess (not true). When I left negative feedback for non-payment, buyer went ballistic and promised to post false slandering comments about me all over the internet. Buyer did so using a false name. I went to every website I could find a complaint posted about me and did likewise in return. When I posted the buyers real name and city/state and used my real name in case any others wanted to contact me with further information about this looney-tune, eBay yanked my account and buyer began physically threatening my grandchildren. It's been over three years and the website where I posted the buyer's multiple assumed names (Maria Spencer, Jason Spencer, of Jefferson, NC) have not removed my comments, and refuse to do so. eBay will not re-instate my account until the website removes it, so I'm in a catch-22 situation. As such it won't hurt my account to post their names here. Apparently Appboone yanked around one too many sellers, and eBay has canceled that account. Even though Appboone is no longer a customer of eBay, eBay still won't remove my account suspension. Almost 400 positive feedbacks (only two negatives) flushed down the toilet! So don't say anything about a bad buyer, eBay will yank your account, and you don't get a second chance. Apparently it's a "life sentence". Even the criminal justice system is not this cruel! eBay is an anti-freedom-of-speech conglomerate!

Why That Internet Price Might Not Be Real
An eBay Shopper Wins A Hyundai For $16, 000 But The Dealer Isn't Happy

File this one under the dangers of mixing traditional Brick & Mortar business practices with the immediacy and transparency of the internet. Glenn Hyundai of Lexington, Kentucky placed a slightly used Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T on eBay Motors. There was no reserve, and a gencoupe.com forum member named McFly made a bid of $16, 125 and won the auction. (Here's a PDF of the auction.)
Not a bad price, especially as the Gen Coupe in question had less than 5, 000 miles on it and costs over $22, 000 when new. McFly then secures financing from his bank to pay for the Coupe, makes the necessary travel arrangements to go pick up his car (he doesn't live in Kentucky) and calls the dealer to put down a deposit with his credit card. This is when things begin to go bad. We'll let McFly take it from here:
"I talk to the front desk secretary, ask her how to make my deposit for an Internet Sales deal I have, and she immediately transfers me to Eric Manley. I talk to Eric briefly and he laughs at me over the phone, 'Sorry buddy but you're not getting it for that price, he says. I tell him it's a deal that I have worked out with the Internet Sales guy, and I'm ready to make the deposit. He laughs at me again, and says, 'Sorry buddy, not for that price." It's obvious that this guy knows nothing about it, but it's odd that he won't let me make my deposit. He's clearly either confused or not the right guy."
Youch - and you know there's a Hyundai Assurance joke in there somewhere. No one wants to be laughed at, especially when you won the car in question fairly and in a legal manner on an eBay auction. McFly doesn't give up, and eventually finds out that the owner's name is Cy Dicken. He gets in touch with a guy named Tad, who called McFly supposedly to take his credit card info. It turns out that Tad is the person who placed the Genesis Coupe on eBay in the first place.
"Tad tells me that he's the one that made the deal (listed the eBay auction), and there is no way I'm getting it for that price, and that he doesn't care about the Legal Binding Contract that they have (the eBay auction). I'm not getting the deal.
"We argue back and forth for a while. He offers a Christmas card, and then a Turkey [sic] for compensation, while I tell him that I have a 'Legal Binding Contract' from them and that I'm not going away until I get my car or some compensation for this headache that they've put me through. He then says, that 'Sorry, car has already been sold, so you can't have it it's gone.'
"He says, 'We're going around in circles, you're not getting the car that I don't have here to sell you, and definitely not for that price. You've had a few people hang up on you already, why continue this? Didn't I tell you I was the owner.' All lies of course, as I tell him 'No you told me that you were Tad, not Cy Dicken, and everyone has been real nice so far, no ones hung up on me.'"
It goes on and on like this. To make a long story short, McFly didn't get the car at that price. We saw a similar case a while back when a Nebraska BMW dealer refused to honor an auction for a $60, 000 M3. Due to pressure, they eventually caved in and agreed to let the car go for the price they sold it for. Still, you've got to wonder if the few thousand dollars both of these dealers feel they deserve is worth the headaches and bad press.
We contacted Glenn Hyundai to get their side of the story, but were passed around before ultimately being hung up on. We then contacted Hyundai USA, who told us, "We expect our dealers to contract in good faith with customers. We do not know the details of this transaction. But we hope the dealer and customer in question can come to a mutually beneficial agreement." We'll keep you posted if McFly's situation changes.
Note: after this story was first posted on Autoblog.com, a number of event transpired, which we'll list for you here:
UPDATE: Jalopnik.com reportedly spoke to Internet Manager Eric Manley, who said, "I don't know what the kid's problem is other than he's a little psycho." He's also threatening to sue the buyer because of "slander" and claims he "lost his mind."
UPDATE: From McFly: "Glenn Hyundai's lawyer called me (about 1 hr ago). He says that there have been numerous calls to the dealership today, and that I need to stop. I told him that I hadn't called since December (it was actually on 12/18/09 when I talked to Elizabeth McKinley about the last and final purchase order, which stated 'Not ebay internet price'). He said he found the information I posted on the internet, and to stop contacting the local news (which I haven't contacted, maybe someone else did, I don't know). He also asked that I take off all the information from the internet. If I don't comply that the dealership and he will take legal action. He asked me for my address so that he could send a formal letter requesting these things. He has my address, 'it's on the purchase order they faxed me, ' I told him."
UPDATE: More from McFly: "Good news, Glenn Hyundai and I have come to an agreement. I am now taking the next step, and changing every one of my posts to reflect that 'This was a misunderstanding and we have come to an agreement.' I'll give the details of the agreement once everything has been finalized. Thanks so much for all the help that you've all given me."
No word on what the "agreement" is, nor what the "misunderstanding" consisted of. That said, all of McFly's posts have been changed to read, "This was a misunderstanding and we have come to an agreement."
UPDATE: If you're still calling the dealership to voice your opinion, please stop. There are reports that McFly could be in danger of losing the deal if calls to the dealership continue.

fake auctions
I have bid for 2 ushanka hats on ebay.Within 20 minutes of closing there miraculously appeared 2 other bids, I ignored the first, but bid on the second, no sooner had I put in an improved bid, theSECOND I had finished typing, another bid appeared, I improved the bid again, same thing, the SECOND i had finished typing another bid appeared.
Two things spring to mind,
1. The seller was bidding against me or
2. Ebay have instructions to up the bid for the seller benefit, that is the only explanation, as there are about 60 similar hats on the web site, all at the same starting price.
I have tried to contact Ebay, BUT, have you ever tried to contact them, it is impossible.
This would be illegal in the UK, but I would presume that as it, s an internet company they think they can get away with it, I have tried to remove myself from their website permanently but they come up with some scam about not removing me for 6 months, as I was bidding, needless to say, myself and all my friends will not be using ebay ever again, try Amazon, thier prices are reasonable and the service is good

EBay is a scam
I bought a PS2 video game through EBAy from a private seller. Three weeks went by, no product.I opened a case through Ebay and Paypal. They both claim to be investigating the case.Next thing I know, Paypal sent me an email stating that I have closed the case.I reopened the case, Ebay is making it difficult to contact their service support. They are all avoiding the fact now that they should refund some money.DO NOT TRUST EITHER LOWSY COMPANY..THEY ARE CROOKS.I have documented proof of all I have stated here.To sum it up, I lost money but Ebay Paypal and the seller came out winners.Sounds like a big scam, looks like a scam!! MUST BE A SCAM!

changes for the worse the far worse
WHEN I JOINED EBAY AS A SELLER in DECEMBER 2005 the VALUE OF their SHARE WAS USD45, IT IS NOW WORTH HALF THAT AMOUNT ! WE, SELLERS KEEP TELLING THE STAFF AT EBAY(YOU WILL NOT GO PAST THE FLOOR STAFF, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST YOU WILL EVER FIND, AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE... WORSE WITH THEIR PHILIPPINE 'BRIDE', NOBODY ELSE WILL TALK TO YOU...) WHAT THE PROBLEMS ARE: 'BEST MATCH' Sorting of listings (Another recently introduced nightmare), NEGATIVE FEEDBACK NOT ALLOWED for Sellers, CATEGORIES DISAPPEARING ('Australian Masters' in the Australian Art Section), WANTING TO EMULATE AMAZON (DUMB DUMB, DUMB...), PRIORITY TO 'BUY IT NOW' When People Want to Sell & Buy in the AUCTION FORMAT, WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER VIRTUAL DEPARTMENT STORE, ETC...<br />
THEY ARE GOING STRAIGHT IN THE WALL, MANAGEMENT IS AN ISSUE I AM TOLD WHAT ARE YOUR FEELINGS?
