Sent cat with ringworm
Pam sent me a cat covered with ringworm. It took the vet and I months of care to clean up the infection. When I told Pam about it, she said it was my fault, as I gave the cat a bath when I recieved him, via air shipment. I told her he had an awful smell to him, and she said "yes, of course he did, I gave him a LIME BATH." This is something given to cats to treat them for ringworm, according to my vet. I had never heard of it before. Why would she give the cat this bath and not tell me at the time of shipping? How did we find out he had ringworm? my daughter contracted it, within a timeframe that placed her contact with him to be the day we received him. In no way would Pam even admit that it was a possiblity that he was shipped with ringworm. This is not the way to do business. Also, the picture of the persian used to sell me my persian was continued to be used by Pam on her site to sell other cats with different names. I don't even think it was a picture of my cat. What a scam artist. This is one breeder to stay away from. PS a prior purchaser complained of her grammer when posting her complaint - what does grammar (building sentencing) in a complaint have to do with authenicating a complaint - NOTHING.

She sent me the wrong kitten
I visited Echo Lake Cattery website frequently and had finally chosen a kitten that my husband and myself wanted. This kitten was a Tortie-point himalayan. A few weeks later Pam advertised a blue-cream point himalayan
that I inquired about.
Pam told me that this kitten was taken already. Right about the time we were suppose to get the Tortie-point kitten; she asked me if I were still interested in the blue-cream point kitten. I told her 'no'; we would stick
with our original kitten we selected.
In the mean-time, Pam sent me a Purchasing Agreement for Tortie Point Female Himalayan. I signed it, sent her money and sent the agreement back to her.
Low and behold, when I went to the Airport to pick up my kitten, it seemed that she didn't look like the picture we had of her.
I looked up pictures of both of these kittens, which looked somewhat similar to me, and realized that I had the wrong kitten; indeed.
I called Pam, and explained that this kitten I now have is not the Tortie-Point, and Pam denies the whole thing. I contacted her again in a few days, and she proceeded to tell me that I did agree on the blue-cream
point kitten, and got very rude with me.
Pam was not going to make good on the agreement that we originally had, so my husband and I kept the kitten. Pam also knew that my husband had cancer, and the Tortie Point kitten he picked out was a gift for him.
She clearly has no morals or a conscience. I paid a lot of money for a kitten and received the wrong kitten. Also, not to mention when I received the kitten and took it to the vet for the vet-check, it had a mite infection in it's ears, that had to be treated 2 separate times. Also, the kitten was sneezing a lot, and that got worse and worse, and come to find out
the kitten had a bad respiratory infection that had to be treated. I'm wondering if my kitten received her correct immunizations???

Liars, thieves and rip off artists
I want to report a lady who runs and owns Echo Lake Cattery. Her name is Pam Allred. I should have done a background check on her before doing buisness. She and her buisness has a unsatisfactory rating with the BBB in Arkansas due to her failure to respond to complaints filed by customers ranging from refunds to health garrentees. She post her policys on her web page but she doesn't even honor them herself. I lost $400 from her. The biggest problem that I noticed with her is she lets her buisness life be influenced by her personal life. I dont know how many other poeple she has done this to, but she claims that it is about some funeral ordeal. Things go just fine for a couple weeks then she starts with the funeral nonsence and then she starts to treat her customers like crap. If you havn't gotten you cat by the time she does this then you might as well get count your losses cause she will do everything in her possible power make sure you just give up on trying to take possesion of the animal including telling you lies just to get you to give up. If anyone sees the cat Indian Summer, remember that she was the cat I was trying to get for my wife. Final note, Pam Allred and Echo Lake Cattery is a rip off and scam. Before you buy from her do your homework first and save yourself some money.
