Rude manager
I tried to check-out on June 16, 2011. When I got to the desk there was no one in line and there were 2 persons behind the counter. I walked up to one of them and she rudely dismissed me stating that I go back to the ropes and wait until I am called. Now remember there is no one in line. I waited 5 minutes while another 4 persons gave from the back office (a total of 6 persons) chatting & carrying-on. I went back to the person and stated as to why I was not being helped. She remarked if you don''t like it give me your keys and leave. I asked for a receipt to which she said you have wait at the ropes. I asked to speak to the manager and she stated that she was the manager. Her name tag stated Nicole. She said her last name was Washington. I travel a lot and stay at over 30 hotels a year. I have NEVER been treated like this.

Invasion
To whom it may concern:
I would like to make a legitimate complaint out my stay/ experience at the Econo Lodge, located at 10936 Market Lane Rt. 13 South, Princess Anne, MD 21853. It was one the creepiest and very intimidating situations ever. The main desk employee/owner was pleasant, but the non-employee older man who apparently was related to the front desk employee, continued to stalk my every move. To the point were he deactivated my room card; stating I thought you were checking out. I stated, “ it is only 9am”???” Please reactivate it”- and so he did. Shortly after he barged into my room- stood there and then closed the door. Our TV was on and we were changing!!! What is this? UNBELIEVABLE!!! I reported this to the main desk and I will never, ever go to another choice hotel!!! I will be taking these matters into upper authority as this was an invasion of privacy to the highest degree.

called us bastards and stupid
a housekeeper and i was being called names such as a bastard and stupid all because he was saying that he had to clean the concrete upstairs... he was also saying that it was our job to clean the mess.

Horrible Experience
My husband and I booked a non-smoking room with a king bed for three nights about four days in advance of our stay, through hotels.com. We chose this hotel over others we'd had good experiences with before because they emphasized an indoor pool. Upon arrival, we discovered the pool out of order (they were still de-winterizing it), we thought we could deal with that disappointment, but were then shown into a SMOKING room, which was unacceptable, and then a two full size bed non-smoking which was all they had apparently. After a 10 hour drive and hauling our luggage to several different rooms, we cancelled our reservation. The clerk was busy cleaning his or his pregnant girlfriend's car, and wasn't happy to be bothered. I left my number for the manager (not on site) to call and never heard anything. We won't be booking with any of this chain ever again!

cancellation
I had made a reservation to stay there for sat 4-9-11 on 4-8-11 at 6 pm I called to ask to cancel or a credit for reschedule as my mother has a heart condition and was going with us to disney to celebrate my 8 yr olds birthday- when i came home she was experiencing severe chest pains and i had to attend to her and was calling 2 hrs too late to cancel-the manager michael was very rude and unsympathetic and i was charged anyway- did not make for a very happy birthday all the way around -between my mother, the hotel etc

nasty room an service
i went to stay in hotel and i went to the room and when i open the door. a bad odor was there, beer cans on the desk and floor, hotel was freezing cold, bathroom was nasty .. there was pee on seat and floor toilet paper every where .. bed was not made everything was on floor.NASTY NASTY NASTY

Cancellation Policy
I booked a room with EconoLodge 2458 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, TX 75080, scheduled to check in on Feb 5, 2011, due to the weather in my city, I wasn't able to make the trip... being that there was bad weather there in TX they should have understood flight cancellations &/or unsafe traveling conditions... I called Fri & spook w/ cleark at front desk he said they haven't laxed the cancellation policy, I explained the situation he was like he can't do anything & refused to give me the # to the corporate office. I called at least 4 times on Sat, no one ever picked up... called about 5 mins ago & same guy states sorry no change in cancellation policy there's nothing I can do, still refusing to give me the # to the corporate office... poor business

bed bugs
hello, i am an ex employee and also i had stayed there for 2 nights, and for that reason yes i made my own bed cleaned my own room, my complaint here is first there is NO supervisor nor a manager, just the head boss and the bigger head boss that own the building. It's a family business for them. I quit because it is very stressful and nothing is getting done properly, I was the person to check rooms after for the front desk receptionist when all the room attendants were done cleaning the c/o and stay rooms. The sheets had ciggerate hole's, or rips, had spots on sheets/ pillow cases/ cover's and also the comforter's were only changed when there was a spot on it or change after a month. In and around the toilet and even behind on the wall was NOT getting cleaned properly. Shower curtains had mold spots, from the girls not changing them every 2-3 days. The coffee pot holder for the coffee was not cleaned out right, still gross coffee stains. I also had very rude "room attendant(s) argue with the guests because some of them don't clean the stay rooms when your in it. (there was 2 ppl thats wanted there exchange because some the girls are rude.) I had 7 girls quit and 4 got fired. To top everything off they had ALOT of B.Bugs and no laundry lady, they have 1 of the room attendant's to clean a few rooms and do laundry. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY NOR TELL ANYONE TO STAY THERE IT IS AWFULL FROM MY HEART.

bed bugs
My husband and I stayed there on November 10-12 we checked out on the 13 we both had red blotches and swelling all over our bodies. We got home and I had bugs in my suite case which I didn't have before we left.
I complained to the manager and she just blew it off like nothing was there we will never stay at any choice hotel again and we will not recommend it to any else because it was over priced and we were lied to about the price we paid at the most disgusting hotel we ever stayed at. We were told it the price would be 80.00 for the three nights and when we got there we were told it would be 100.00 for the three nights which was miss leading. Customer Service
Stay was horrible. After we checked in we went up the room to check it out. There were outlets hanging out of the wall, the handles for the drawers were broken off, the window in the bathroom was off track. Ok, no biggie for JUST one night. We went about our business and did what we had to do and came back later on. We then went to use the pool. The pool was SO COLD that my 9 yr old would not even get in. But they say it is regulated to inspection and passed. We went back upstairs to our room to find sugar ants in the bathroom. They were coming out a small hole behind a garbage can.
The next morning we spoke to the front desk and voiced our complaints. We were pretty much brushed off. I then sent a letter to the General Manager. And their response was that the ants were our fault due to them finding dog food in the room. Well duh, I did pay for a pet. But those ants were no where near the dog food and they were found before us even feeding our dog.
Basically the letter stated that they appreciated our concerns and that the issues were being looked into but as for the ants, that was our own doing!!!
