EcoSure Pest Control Reviews

Denver Danger March 15, 2010
This company breaks the law!!!!!
Hello,
This company hires college students to peddle their product door to door and to service/spray the new customers that buy the service during the summer. Great business idea transient cheap labor to cover your summer over flow. The only problem is that last summer in Denver, Colorado (April-August 2009) the majority of Ecosure's
student start up technicians did not ever receive a state applicators license! Which is not only illegal but dangerous. The federal government passed and enacted laws to keep professional grade pesticides out of the hands of those who have not demonstrated their competency. Apparently it's cheaper to for EcoSure not to license all their applicators. Why invest in expensive training if the employee is only going to be there for 4 months? It cuts costs but endangers their customers. Bottom line this is the cheapest company I have ever come across!! At Ecosure Pest Control they will do any thing for a buck!!! BEWARE!!!

Horrible company
I like others had the pushy guy at the door, but because I was tired and just wanted him to go away, I unfortunately signed up for this service after being assured it was totally pet friendly, the first one went well, but it was a dry day and everything looked good. I paid the "reduced fee" for the first service, the second service was to say the least awful, nothing appeared to be done, except my 3 show dogs became very ill, one so severly he was at the Vets for 3 days on a ventalitor, thank goodness he survived.

I called them and was told, well I should not have let my dogs out until the spray was dry, but wait there is more, I have to water my lawn to make sure it soaked in. I asked them how I was supposed to let it dry, but water the lawn and still be able to let my dogs out to do their thing. Apparently that was my problem. I paid for the second service and told them to stop coming to my house. Lo and behold I was presented with an additional bill for $145.00 because I did not continue for the full year. I forgot to read the small print that said if you do not use them for the 4 quarterly treatments you owe for the initial treatment of $169.00 less what you paid, which was $39.99. In my life, 39.99 from $169 is not $145.00.

I tried to work with them, but they continued to call me sometimes 3 times a day, when I returned their calls, which I did everytime, amazing there was no one there who could help me. The last three calls were from their "manager" I told him I would send in the money in a couple of weeks. Then got another call from his collection person, told her the same thing, two days latter she sends an e-mail saying they have been unable to reach me. I thought I spoke with her on Monday and here comes this stupid e-mail, when I called them again, she explained it was a standard e-mail and no big deal. I lost it at that point and said it was a big deal it was a lie, every time they called I called them back and they were lying in an e-mail.

I have paid them in full, but will be suing them for my vet bills, only because they would not drop it. The vet cost me over $1, 400.00 and I almost lost a Champion dog.

No matter what do not use these people. they are liars and con artists.

SCAM
This company is a SCAM. Avoid at all cost. I did some research and the owner's nickname (Dave Royce) is Shady Dave who use to own a company called Moxsey in Southern California.

He is now ripping off customers in Colorado. He hires college students from Utah that he teaches to lie and rip off homeowners. Beware!!!

Dishonest Company!!!
This company is dishonest and deceitful. They will lie and manipulate you any chance they get. They do a horrible service and have been in business less than a year.

DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!

FYI: "The Smart Consumer" that posts ads here is actually EcoSure posing as a customer! Further proves my point. They will come up with any method, no matter how unethical to hide their shady practices!

N/A
All of the people that are unsatisfied need to look up all the pest control companies such as Terminex and Orkin. You will see just as many complaints. Yet they still seem to get people to sign up which can only mean there are even more people who are happy with the service. Most people only complain but when people are happy they will not usually go to a site to rave about a service. They have tens of thousands of accounts and there is always going to be people who are not happy. Make sure to look up the competition before jumping to conclusions. Not just for pest control but for anything you buy. If you look at the BBB site and do it correctly you will see that they're ratings are just fine. Also make sure to look at who made most of these postings. A lot of them are by the same handle/screenname just to give the company a bad reputation.

Fraud
They offered a special deal, with a low price for the first treatment.
What I didn't see (an he didn't mention) was that I signed up for a one year service.
And they wanted to come ack after just two weeks, so the offer turned out not to be any offer at all.
Just a way to scam me into buying a one year service I didn't want.

So I cancelled the service after the second visit. Now they want a cancellation fee.

Horrible Service and Dishonest tactics
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The salesman scammed me into buying a 1 time spray for service due to a spider infestation in my neighborhood. After checking with my neighbors I found that I was the only person who fell for the scam.

I noticed no reduction in the spiders. I left several messages with no return call. Then a technician showed up to spray my house the other day when there was snow on the ground and trying to charge me $100. He was very unprofessional. And then after trying to cancel. A rude lady named Cathy yelled at me that she was sending me to collections and hung up on me!

EcoSure is a scam! You get an F Rating. I did some research on them and feel like a fool for signing up for a service like this. Eco-Sure is a scam. Beware! Horrible service on all fronts.

The owner of the company Dave Rocye has scammed people before under a different company called Moxie in California that was banned by the BBB in California.

Eco-Sure. Get out of Denver! This is a scam! Beware!!!

What they spray attracts pests
We subscribed to ecosure assuming that what they said at the door was accurate. For about 100.00 a quarter they have a natural spray that will kill all spiders as they try to enter your house. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. Now keep in mind, during this whole episode, we asked them to come back 5 times to re-spray, and the last time they came, they "broke out the strong stuff" (why not use that in the beginning). We had about one week spider free, then, like an invasion we started seeing spiders everywhere. In the kitchen, in the bathroom walking along the shower rod as I was taking a shower, in the dining room while eating dinner. Oh and we had about 20 spider webs in our bushes in front of our house. One even built a web from the bush up to the power line that hangs down over it.
That was just the spiders.
Then we had ants galore in the kitchen.
Then came the rats. It turns out that part of the service can act as a food to rodents-says ecosure!! We never had any around until after ecosure came, Once the food ran out, the rodents came into our house looking for more food. We had to bring our outside cat in to live with us just to deal with this new problem.
When I asked for a refund after explaining our situation this was the response from the regional manager "I dont mean to be rude, but it's not going to happen". It was then explained to me that I'd have to pay what we owed and an extra hundred dollar cancellation fee. Sadly, the next level up is the owner "Dave" "Based out of another state". Good luck getting your money back from him.
So, after our experience, I would strongly discourage anyone else from using ecosure. Spend 20 bucks at walmart for the GOOD STUFF that actually works.

Don't do it!
Take my advice - Don't do it. Do not sign up for annual pest control service when the salesman comes to your door with a very convincing pitch. The treatment to remove spiders and ants simply does not work, and could very well be dangerous to our pets and wildlife. Cancelling the contract is almost impossible and will cost you extra $$$, as if $100 per treatment is robbery in itself. Be aware. Do not sign up for this service.

bad service, products to not work
I got suckered into service with this company. A door to door salesman came around, and my house has countless spiders, ants and crickets, so I figured I would give them a shot. I was new to the area and did not know of anyone to give me references. I signed up for their service for a year contract. I figured they say they come out and retreat if you still have bugs between quarterly treatments, so it seemed like a good deal. The first treatment came and went. This did absolutely nothing at all. I figured the first quarterly treatment was done a month after the initial, so I'd wait and see if that worked. The first quarterly treatment came and went. This did absolutely nothing. I still have thousands of ants by my garage, spiders crawling up the side of my house, and spiders and crickets everywhere in the gravel that goes around my lawn and house. I called for the free re-treatment. After some hassle, and the people giving me a hard time on the phone, they actually scheduled and appointment during a time frame when I was home. The time came and went. I finally had to leave my house due to some prior engagments. They showed up 2 1/2 hrs late, and never even bothered to call. I called and complained and she said she would get in touch with the driver to find out why he did not show up on time or give me a call. I never received the call back but instead they just mailed me a copy of the invoice I already had stating what they had treated. I told them their service does not work, their products to not work, but they will not release me from my cotracts.

Bottom line, this company has a horrible customer service department, they do not care about the customer or their happiness with the product. Also, they advertise 100% guarantee, but apparently that does not matter either. If you were to go out and just spray down your yard with a garden hose you would kill as many bugs as their products to. Save time, money, energy and hassle and just go to Lowes and buy some bug spray yourself.

I would not recommend this company to someone I don't like. This may sound like a bit of a rant, but I have not been as unhappy with any company or service in long time.
