Cancelled flight booking not refunded
I have read the many complaints on your website about edreams.com wish i found out this sooner I have also been scammed by edreams.
I booked a flight from Gatwick to Kiev online with edreams, but the website froze during my booking it, so i contacted them within 1 hour and cancelled it and requested a refund to my credit card as i booked it with another company, but they just sent me an email confirming the canelled booking but would not confirm that they would refund my money of £204.00 which was an over priced ticket anyway.
Since then I have repeatedly emailed them about this but they don’t even answer my emails, this is disgraceful way to treat people and customers a complete disgrace they should be made bankrupt immediately
To this date I still have not received a refund or even a reply from them.

Costumer Service eNightmare
I booked a flight to Amsterdam through e-dreams the first week of April, 2010.
Due the to volcano ashes affecting all off europe that month, both of my destinations airports were shut down, but oddly enough, the carrier (Alitalia) did not cancel their flights, probably hoping that by the time of the flight, the airports would be open.
I called e-dreams to rearrange my itinerary. After 34 minutes on hold, I spoke with a very angry Spaniard who was not only upset to have to speak to me in English, but once I mentioned the words "Change flight", got really rude.
eDreams costumer service is TERRIBLE. I got screamed at, interrupted constantly, shut up repeatedly and finally threaten with a bad credit score if I go directly to my credit card company and cancel that payment.
After the international screaming contest i had with e-dreams, the "Costumer Service Representative" had the nerve to ask me if I needed help with something else, and to have a great day.

Accepting Credit Card Details on line for airlines that are not applicable
I sent Edreams three emails with no response for the following issue I experienced. Am shocked this is happening. Below is a copy of the email I sent. In a nutshell, Edreams are collecting credit card details for bookings on line & confirming the booking. While in fact, for many airlines on line purchase is not available if you are not a national of that country. Misleading and false advertising plus is it legal to collect CC details when they are not applicable to your purchase?
To whom it concerns,
I am still waiting a response to the below complaint. Please respond to this email with a status update by Thursday the 4th March.

To whom it concerns,
I have a serious complaint in relation to your on-line booking system, in particular, your payment method verification process.
I am currently in Brasil. Three of us booked flights via your website for an internal flight within Brasil. During the booking process ( via the Brasilian edreams website) I was prompted for my credit card details which was verified successfully. My colleagues ( via an Australian edreams website) were prompted for their credit card details which was verified successfully, furthermore my colleagues account was debited the cost of the flight.
THERE WAS NO PROMPT OR WARNING TO INDICATE THAT OUR FLIGHT WAS RESERVED, not confirmed.
I have travelled South America for six months and I am used to looking at payment method confirmations and reservations. If a flight placement is being reserved, you prompt the user that it is being reserved at time of booking and DO NOT prompt for credit card details entry. This is how it works with all the other sites. Your site, accepts and prompts for Credit Card details...which is invalid since as I understand it you request a fax confirmation of payment or bank transfer. Hence this is false and deceptive advertising or lack of an IT team. It is not appropriate to send out an email with a disclaimer mentioning that you need to further provide additional details in relation to payment. Why would I think that you would prompt me for payment details online, accept and confirm it and that I would then need to provide you with further information?
Since my flight was fully booked when I called to verify booking, I have missed my flight to Rio and my friends wedding.
I would like a detailed email explaining why your system does not verify nationality & hence inform the user that payment is not possible on-line. I will be taking this further unless I get a reasonable explanation.
Please confirm receipt of this email and please confirm when & who will be addressing my complaint.
Regards,

Fraud
This site is terrible! They are definitely out to get everything they can from you and screw you over completely. A few days ago we booked tickets to Tunisia with Edreams. We receieved an email shortly after stating a problem with our card and they would need a day to contact our bank. The next day still no response, so we called the bank. They said that they had no problems with the demand. We received another email from edreams stating they needed a photocopy of our passports, and the front and back of our credit card. After we did that, they still stated that they would need other documents. Then they all of a sudden became unavailable and were not able to be reached by email or phone and the money was pulled from our account but no confirmation. Two days later after we called four more times, talked to three different people, sent 9 emails and lots of information, we received an email that said our flights went up by 300 dollars and would we like to confirm it.
NOT WORTH IT. WORST SITE EVER!!! NEVER USE IT. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD

Fraude/Robbery
I want to post a complaint about 'Edreams'.
After reading all that is online I am now aware of the dishonesty and abuse practiced by 'Edreams' as well as the scams!
I processed a reservation on edreams (A Spanish company) for a trip to Geneva Switzerland on the 29th November 2009 returning on the 2nd December 2009. In good faith I provided my credit card details for payment.
The airline Easyjet three days ago cancelled the service after debitting my credit card and edreams did the same. I am now left without the service and neither edreams nor Easyjet want to return the full amount that they debited for a service that was not provided.
Easyjet state that they will (hopefully in 5 to 10 working days time) return only their part not the 36, 00 Euros debited by edreams. Edreams refuse to return my money for a service that will not be provided. This to me seems like a dirty dishonest scam and fraude.
If the service was cancelled 'not by me' I do not have to be the one to be penalized or robbed.
There must be an agreement between edreams and airlines for these types of situations that are far from ethical.
I want the total amount of my money that was debited not partial amount. I know that other people have been victims of this same, what I identify as scam! Multiply this by hundreds and these companies are making a lot of money with what I call camouflage robberies.
Not only does the victim lose interest of their money but they also lose part of their money. This is unacceptable.
These what I identify as robbers must be detered. Some EU entity and Visa must block their dishonest access to people's money.

Absolute worst
eDream sell a zero (0) stopover flight from London to Denver on their website www.edreams.com. In fact this flight stops in Houston en route to Denver. eDreams argue that this is not shown as a stopover because the inbound carrier (Continental) is the same as the outbound carrier (Continental). This is misrepresentation in the guise of a technicality!
Immediately after booking a ticket online, receiving their itinerary and identifying the problem, I asked them to cancel the booking. They have refused to do this saying the ticket is non refundable. Their best offer is to repay the airport taxes.

Fraud
I booked a flight with them last year and like other complaints I have read they stated there was a problem regarding booking which took several emails and emailing my bank details to rectify. There was also a no confirmation sent which they claimed they had and had not. Thankfully I was able to board my flight without a problem but it had caused some anxiety in wherever I would be boarding at all.
ANNND then this year I received a letter from a rather, aggressive, Spanish debt agency claiming on behalf of eDreams saying I owed them a massive amount of money?!! No explanation simply a demand and bank account number. This took longer than a month to rectify as no one would answer my emails at edreams whilst receiving another 4 letters from the debt collectors and then a second one. You know how life is.. busy, work and then arsing around trying to resolve this before you go into work for the whole day. They eventually emailed me to say yes it was a mistake. Thanks. Stay away extremely unprofessional if we behaved how these do in our jobs we would surely be unemployed.

Disshonesty, Bad Attitude
I was ordering an online flight by this company- Edreams
After I gave them online my credit card No including the 3 digits, I got an answer that I have to transfer
them money too
I called them and the guy told me that without any reson my Visa card was not accepted
I find it impossible to send them money after they misslead me by asking my credit card deatails, and then
without any reson ask for money transfer as well.
It smells very bad
I sent them a mail asking them to confirm a cancelatio of the deal
Now i have to call my credit card company and let them know not to accept this payment if they will try to
have it
But above all the idea that I gave my credit card deatails to this people is somthing that makes me to fell bad

Fraudulent claims and withholding of money
We have also experienced awful service from eDreams. 2 days ago, I tried to book a flight for my mother who was intending to travel from Budapest to Malaga. After checking the various options and availabilities on eDreams' site, I went ahead and booked the flight and eDreams deducted money from my account.
Within one hour, I received an email from eDreams saying there was a problem with their system and that they could not grant the ticket. I immediately contacted them and was told that they would not be able to refund my money for several days (no specific date), leaving me in a massive dilemma, as I did not now have the funds to book an alternative flight with another company.
After countless phone calls and emails, they still refused to offer an immediate refund or an actual flight on the time we had specified. All the while, they continued to advertise the same exact flight, enticing other people to pay for a ticket to something eDreams know damned well they cannot fulfil.
It is pretty clear that eDreams deliberately scam people into booking flights that they cannot deliver, take their money, hold that money for an undetermined amount of time and cause distress to people who simply want to book a flight!
I have spent the best part of the whole day today, speaking with countless people at eDreams, each of which has told me a different story; one said it would take 1-2 days for a refund, one said it would take up to 5 days and another said it would take between 5-10 days! I’ve checked online for experiences of other eDreams customers who have said it took up to 30 days before they received a refund! If you consider how many times this must be happening, it soon becomes evident how much money eDreams must have sat in their accounts, earning interest at our expense.
Given the current economic uncertainty, I would encourage everyone to avoid eDreams and any other comparison site operating in this manner, like the plague!!
