Took my money - dating service
In March 2011 I re-signed up for eHarmony - a service that I had used successfully in the past. I purchased a 3 month membership, and was charged for the first month upfront (with an agreement to be billed monthly). I immediately attempted to update my profile, since some of my information was outdated - and was surprised to find that I couldn't make any changes at all. When I had been a member in the past, it was under a previous version of their webpage. The web pages either wouldn't load completely or would pretend to save changes, but nothing 'stuck'. I contacted customer support that day, requesting tech support (or a way to use an older version that would work). They were unable to figure out the problem, but offered to make minor changes (like to my 'location' since I had moved), while they tried to make things work.
Over the past month an a half, I have tried everything their tech support suggested - taking hours of my time, without any payoff. Different web browsers, settings, preferences, security levels, everything multiple times (because for some reason, they were unwilling/unable to look through the full email chain). At first I was grateful for the assistance - over time though, it became very frustrating, since nothing was fixed. To be clear - I'm talking about emails with 'suggestions' for me to try every 2 or 3 days for a month.
After I was charged the second monthly installment, I requested a refund. It is unacceptable to charge a second time for a service that hadn't been rendered yet. At first, they acted as though they were taking the situation seriously, but once I requested a refund they changed tactics - stating that if I had wanted a refund, I would have needed to have requested it in the first 3 days after signing up. Because I was willing to work with them to fix a technical issue on their end (I do not have any other websites that I have ever visited with similar issues, and I had always been able to use their site just fine before the change to the most recent version), I am being told that there is nothing that they can do for me.
When I responded that telling me that I couldn't have a refund because I was patient and giving them the benefit of the doubt, they told me that everything is fine on their end, so there obviously isn't a problem - and then condescendingly told me how sorry they were that I was considering leaving the eHarmony 'family' - as if I were deserting them, rather than giving up after being charged twice for a service I had yet to receive.
I requested the name/phone number of a person that *could* help me - and have been waiting over a week for any kind of response.
Once you give these thieves your credit card, you're apparently out of luck even if they are unable to make their site usable. Deal with them at your own risk!

Not great at all
I spent ages doing their personality tests (which I feel are excessively long) then after I had completed this, they said that they couldn’t find a suitable match for me, on a global scale! I don’t rate any dating website that can’t find a single match for one person! My friend also signed up, and she is an avid animal lover, which she mentioned in her sign up testing. E-harmony then matched her with a couple of deer hunters in Texas. Overall, not great!

Stay away from it, do not waste your time nor money
This web-site is a rip-off - eHarmony is the most awful web-site in the world They do not stand behind the claim for a free review of your matchs. They hose you into becoming a member and when you want to cancel they give you the run-around eatrting up time so you're stuck with an account that is useless. I would recumnebd a site like Match.com instead. they are amicable. eHarmony or should I say "eHa-Money". is by far the worst web-site I have ever in my life encountered. STAY AWAY FROM IT, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY.They are no Good for you.

Unfair business practice/unauthorized taking of money
My 1 year membership subscription to their service was to end on July 13th, 2010 and was NOT authorized to be renewed. No emails or any contact of any kind was sent requesting a renewal or any authorization for a renewal to the service. Eharmony without permission, Renewed the membership on a monthly renewal rate of $19.95 with the credit card that was on file with them(which they should have not have kept on file)and refuses to refund any money that was taken without authorization. They cite their Cancellation NO REFUND policy as an excuse for justifying their "theivery. I sent them an email (which is the only way you can contact them)requesting a refund for the unauthorized renewal and their response was another citing of their Cancellation No Refund policy. Do not do business with them or if you do change your credit card number after you subscribe to their service. By the way - their service wasn't very good either. They provided matches that did not post pictures and/or were hundreds of miles away and in several instances in different states.

Terrible experience
I signed up for what I thought was just a 3 month subscription. Aftr using their program for about three weeks I decided that it just wasn't working like they say it should. I then went to cancel my subscription and had a very hard time finding a number to call to do so. I had to go on Google to actually find the number.
I then called and talk to them and and they told me that I could cancel but that I signed up for a 1 year program and that they were going to charge me 2 more payments of $79.80 and that they could not cancel those payments.
I think that they are very deceptive in their way of doing business and I would not recommend them to anyone. They make things very hard to find because they don't want you to be able to cancel something that does not work very well.
Businesses like this are only out to take your money and provide as little information as possible for you to contact them and try to get your money back or cancel your account.
I hope that someone will do something about Eharmony ripping poeple off with their deceptive policies.

Illegal charge of 24.95 for july
Eharmony.com has charged me $24.95 for July 2008, when I have not used their services for weeks. I paid for six months and that time was up. You will notice that I have not even used this credit card in months and have been trying to pay it off. This charge was not initiated by me and should be removed. I have notified eharmony.com by email and also by telephone regarding the problem. Heads up - PLEASE DO NOT LET ANYONE CHARGE ANYTHING TO THIS ACCOUNT - I HAVE GIVEN NO ONE PERMISSION TO USE THIS CREDIT CARD.
IF YOU WOULD BE SO KIND, PLEASE FORWARD ME A NEW CARD WITH A TOTALLY DIFFERENT NUMBER, SO THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE.
SINCERELY,
Carole D. Baker.

EHarmony Unauthorized Charges
Now this is a laugh that is not funny! What would a 71 year old woman with a husband who is 89, want with a service such as this. I never ordered this service EHarmony. It is frightening that they are able to get information and without authorization charge $179.70 to my account. Believe me, this is a BIG amount for two people who live on social security.
I wish to advise the company, if this is not addressed immediately, I will be force to open legal investigation with the involvement of Office of Attorney General.

malfeasons
Well I signed up for an online dating service in March of this year. To tell you the truth I was lonely. I needed a women that completed me and I wasnt getting any respect localy. I turned to EHARMONY.COM and took a personallity quiz. It matched me up with a local single in my area by the name of Belinda Mathison. I received her picture the next day and scheduled a date with her the following Friday. We met at the local CHILLIS and to tell you the truth she was even uglier in person. I mean wow she could take the stripes off a racoon, Fellas I know what you're thinking. I would like an apology from EHARMONY.COM and to be set up with a woman who looks a little better please.
