El Cid timeshare sales people promised to sell my Mayan Palace . In fact through my conversation with Rene Cavazos and his supervisors Manuel Altamirano and Jesus Osuna they said to me there would be no problem, I made very clear to them that I did not want to own 2 timeshares and that I was dissatisfied with Mayan and they assured me that El Cid would better meet my needs are and my other timeshare would be sold. They even provided me with the application to a sales company that they assured me would take care of their clients in a prompt manner. They lied. I waited 6 months with no response. I paid the $19, 250.00 usd and owe nothing. I fulfilled my part. In Sept. of 2008 I attempt to find out what happened, I emailed copies on Oct. 9 2008, I faxed copies on Oct. 21 2008 and received no response. I have paid my monthly maintenance on an automatic credit card debt every month. I am current on my payments. Why you did not do as promised became evident upon my visit last year and this year, I am very dissatisfied and want restitution.
They promised good value and respect for me and my money. They did not do so, I am not a rich person, I am a retired teacher and have little to throw away.
I listened to Mr. Altamirano talk about his grandson with cystic fibrosis and how he understood hard work and how he would make sure my time share to Mayan was sold. I listened to Jesus Osuna who even said he would follow up on the sale. He lied. I know this because of the following 2 visits.
In Oct. of 2009 I came to El Cid to see what happened to my Mayan Sales, I was very angry at the time Jesus Osuna met with me and explained that the sales company they worked with was no good and that they changed companies to Phoenix Vacation Properties and that he would personally take care of the paperwork and transfer the fee at no cost to me. He would not let me see or speak to Manuel Altamirano and said he was on vacation. He asked me to sign and fax back to him the sales company agreement which I did. I still have received no response.
In April of 2010, I went back to El Cid and requested to see both Mr. Osuna and Mr. Altamirano from the guy manuel who was to do a timeshare presentation. Finally Mr. Altamirano came out. In our talk Manuel and my husband were both present and Mr. Altamirano admitted that Mr. Osuna told him I was there in October and he was not to see me. They both lied and conned me into my contract with them, this time Mr. Osuna was supposedly on vacation and Mr. Altamirano said he could not access Mr. Osuna´s files but found out Mr. Osuna never put in the sales agreement to the old company and never filed the papers I faxed for Phoenix but that he would give me business card and said he would fix it so I would talk to Jim David at Phoenix to get Mayan sold.
Another complaint I have besides sales conning is you said El Cid Resorts allowed kitchens so that I would not have to have a required all inclusive, this was a huge selling point as I am diabetic, lactose intolerant and have colitis and must be able to make my own food. I was informed in April that El Cid Resorts will be changing to required all inclusive meal. I cannot stay in a place with such restrictions and I made this quite clear.
To make things worst I contacted customer services and a person called Bejamin Goon have not only denied my cancellation but also making almost impossible to communicate, he do not reply or take me serious.
