We closed our business on May 15. On July 2nd, we saw a charge of $20 from Elavon for June (no transactions at all). So, we called them and found out that it was the "minimum charge". OK, we didn't pay attention to the fine lines, our fault. We asked them to close the account right away. On Aug. 3rd, we get charged another $20. We called them again and they said the account was not closed because of the problem of the fax. We were surprised, they got all our information, if there were problems why didn't they contact us? No phone calls, no emails, no faxes, ... nothing. Finally, we got the account closed and they told us that not only we still have to pay for July's $20 charge, we will get another $20 charge for August. This is insane!!! This is stealing!!!
How could they charge us for the mistake they made???!!! $60 ($20 * 3) might not be a big deal. However, it shows how inconsiderate and how unreasonable this company is. The representatives kept on saying "this our policy" -- is their policy "ripping off customers any way you could"?
Avoid this company!!!
p.s. Another guy got ripped off for 5 months ~ http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/elavon-c306869.html
