customer service
The COMPLAINT...??? Where to start, yes the 1 1/2 hour wait or more on the phone or the compitional arguing with you about how much money you didnt deserve or how many peolple you talk to befor you get a supervisor thats says "NO WILL NOT REFUND OR RELEASE YOUR MONEY!!" They goof off back and forth between phone calls about what they are going to get you mad about next. Place you on hold every 2 min to "research" your question that they should know since it was the 4th time calling!! AND NOT ONE HAD LOOKED AT THERE NOTES TO SEE THATS IT WAS A ONGOING PROBLEM!! or that you finally get someone nice but there so new they dont have a clue whrer to start because they was threw out on the "FLOOR" with very LITTLE training. So which complaint should I SCREAM MY LUNGS OUT ABOUT, well it all depends on where they start when they say "Thank you for calling ELAVON, my name is..., how may i screw you???????

customer service/theft
I dont know where to start, I have been in business for more than 20 years and never have I seen such poor customer service, from being on hold for over 1 1/2 hours on average to the rude way you are treated when you finally do get through to someone.
On top of all this i have had a hell of a time trying to terminate our account and 3 months later i am still getting billed.
word of advice ...keep well away from these theives.

Scam
Count me among the pissed-off masses of Elavon/Ladco Leasing and their unbridled greed. I never got a copy of what I signed, not from the sales rep, nor from Elavon despite 3 requests. Ladco said there would be a $5 fee. They have been billing my account $42.02 every month for so-called "software." I asked about buy-out and they quoted me some $1300 or $1500. The software that I am "leasing" seems to be something I don't need. Even so, there are so-called "better" plans available thru Costco Merchant Services. There is also a QuickBooks plug-in available for $76.00. I found an Elavon payment gateway for $50 online. Their "premium"software known as ViaWARP can be purchased for $200. This is one big gigantic ugly humongous rip-off. I'm now trying to get out of this *** mess and will fight it. Sign me up for any class-action lawsuits out there.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
I am a Canadian customer of Elavon's (4 yrs), have had no problems to date, but today I phoned them to get some questions answered, and I have been on hold now for over an hour without ever speaking to a live person yet. In the meantime I also tried faxing them, but their fax would not pick up. I then tried a 1-866 number from the top of my monthly bill and got only a rapid beeping. Is something going awry with this company? I am STILL on hold, after 1 hour and 20 minutes! GRRRRRR! Must do yoga...ohmmm...ohmmm...

fees and thievery
Elavon is the company that works as a satellite company to my merchant service provider. I have no idea what they do. They charged us PCI Fees without notice and even after numerous calls, faxes, internet applications on our part to meet their criterial for becoming PCI compliant they still are charging us these fees. They somehow never received any of our numerous calls etc about the issue. There are 4 of us working on this and still our efforts are not reaching this company of thieves.
In addition we did manage with a TON of hard work to get in writing proof of our compliance, Elavon had the nerve to tell us that they have never in the history of their company reimbursed fees nor do they have a legal department. I think we need to band together and file a class action law suit.
How many of us are there and what do we do next?

Merchant Processing Services
We signed up with and started processing with Tangarine Payment Solutions in October 2009. They had given us a rate of 1.61% plus some various charges for different cards but netted out to approx 1.8%, still a better deal than previous. Our rate for November still stayed @ 1.8% but in the middle of the statement stated "EFFECTIVE IN 30 DAYS, YOUR PROCESSING FEES WILL CHANGE FOR QUALIFICATION DOWNGRADES, MONTHLY MINIMUMS, AUTHORIZATION PER ITEM FEES, AND CHARGEBACK FEES. PLEASE CHECK NEXT MONTH'S STATEMENT FOR THE NEW FEES. THANK YOU FOR SELECTING ELAVON FOR YOUR MERCHANT PROCESSING SERVICES."
Our December Statement arrived (Next month's statement) with no visible increases. It still worked out to appx 1.8%. Then our January 2010 statement shows up with a whopping fee increase in excess of $ 900.00 and equating to 3.25%. This increased our fee 76%. I have not been able to get any response from Tangerine Payment Solutions or Elavon. One agent said that they were losing money on our account and had to increase fees. How do you fight crap like this?

Elavon SUCKS!!! Still in February 2010 I have tried cancelling this account for 5 months and each monthe still took out thed $20 charge, , I called & called they were supposwed to send me a fax.. NOPE and with this I was told I need to call back in 6 days to see if they had received it, , BULL**** It's not like I have the time for this THEY needed to follow up.. Finally I got so mad when the 2nd and 3rd faxes DIDN'T show so I stayed on the line while they sent it and waited until it arrived before i let the poor jerk off the line... This was on the 11th of January I immediatly sent the fax back then looked at my account today and they took another $20 out I called AGAIN and demanded a supervisor she said it had not come through until the month was half over!!! SO they waited 4 additional days so they could collect another $20 This is Highway robbery!!! I am telling every business I know and those just starting NEVER NEVER use this service!! I've passed it on to my Food Service reps as well who are always setting up new accounts Cheap SLimy Business Elavon you should BE ashamed COSTCO REALLY have you checked these guys out?????? LOTS OF COMPLAINTS!!! you should check into this!!!

Company engages in fraud
Elavon took thousands of dollars out of the accounts of our customers without our authorization. Originally when we contacted them we assumed they made an honest mistake. After talking to them for hours, and with their unwillingness to fix the problem they caused, it became clear
Elavon is a company engaging in fraud. They take large amounts of money from accounts illegally, charge you for taking it, then charge you for returning it. I have seen similar complaints about Elavon all over the internet. Our credibility as a company took a major hit with our customers due to the practices of Elavon. We will be dropping them as soon as humanly possible and we will be filing complaints/charges with the appropriate regulatory bodies. Why would Costco associate themselves with a company with such a long history of fraud complaints?

they steal money
Elavon, formerly known as Nova Information Systems, partner with Costco and is a subsidiary of US Bank. Watch out what they would do to your credit card processing account.
1) They used no-exist excuses to hold your money in the credit card processing account.
2) Suspend processing account before send you any notice.
3) Suspend account even from an customer's inquiry. (They cancel my account even the customer cleared the inquiry)
4) They don't let you contact the department handle your case. ( I have to find the US Bank investor relation to contact them)
4) Apply non-exist and undisclosed processing amount limit. (They asked you monthly average and then they said it is your monthly limit)
5) Even inquiry was resolved, they still apply suspension and withdrew money from bank account.
6) Multiple huge withdraws to empty your bank account without legitimate reason. (Think about 5 time of $4600 - $23000 in total )
7) Charging fee without reason or explanation.
8) Their employees are rude and ridiculous.
9) Charging service charge after cancellation ad making up excuse. (They charged on Sep 1, and Sep 3, after they received cancellation Aug 2)
10) Even you sent cancellation 30 day in advance, they still say not enough 30 days. (Their assistant legal counsel said Sep 3, is the 30th days from Aug 2)
11) They change the term of the contract without sending any notification. (They totally changed the contract and applied it 14 days later but send you no notification at all)
12) Making up non-exist document. (Sending a printout to proof they sent you email, but the printout does not have any email address)
13) Lied to authorities and Costco.
If you are a victim, try contact OCC, FTC, FBI, States Attorney, Canadian Authorities.
They should be punished.
