Remember when I complained overtime. Well the same day the administrator came and talked to me and "requested" I "correct" what I wrote. Well quess what happens 2 weeks later I WAS FIRED. Reasoning- I missed documentation on what we call the MAR, this tells what meds we give and we initial what we administer. Well they chose me to look into. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! I gave specific names, to what is called the unit manager of the Subacute unit I was on and the HR guy, of the nurses that do the same exact thing all the time. There were a couple of other write ups they brought up but the time they happened the (LOL) unit manager told me, "These were no big deal don't worry about it." And guess what she said?? "I never said those things." She knew she was lying because throughout the process she never once looked me in the eye. All I have to say about the poeple at Elderwood... I hope you feel good about taking the income away from a single mother who has a special needs child at home, who has done her best while employed there. I worked late, worked with short staff everyday, did overtime so the residents care didn't suffer, took care of the units dog, cat, and fish. Not to mention the other duties that needed to be done.
