I, a 82 years old senior person with a my friend went to Multi Video on 18449 E. Colima Rd. in Rowland Heights, CA 91748 for buying a electronic dictionary on April 27th.
After I brought it home then I found out that it is too complicated for me then I waited my son came to my home on May third and asked him to help me to the return or exchange the product.
Around 5:30 PM on May third, my son called the store and the clerk does not know any return or exchange policy then gave my son a phone number to call.which was to wholesaler who claimed the retailer was responsbile for their return policy. So I son called back to ask the return or exchange policy again, the clerk said she does not know about any return policy for the store, my son feeled like he was being deceived then told her he would like to contact with any law angency to solve the complicated fair.
Then the clerk got angry and blamed my son and told my son whatever he will do then hung on directly.
Then my son submitted a complaint letter to Better Businese Bureau, Complaint #98409631, because he did not know the consumer affair department that time. but I am not satisfied of the answer from BBB then sought other angency to help me, I hope that the government agency can help me.
I think every singal price of product includes not only the product but also after-sale service.
1.Is it right for the clerk cheating consumer for giving a evasive phone number?
2.Is it right for the clerk not knowing about any company return or exchange policy in the store the clerk works with?
3.Is it right for the clerk giving consumer very bad attitude?
I am not satisfied of the response from the store. First of all, I just asked her the return or exchange policy after she cheated and gave a evasive phone number which she meaned their headquater's number. I feeled like I was been deceived then just called back and asked their return policy, but she was kind like angry then told me whatever I can do and scold me then just hung on directly. Is that right?
If you were the consumer like me, you were conviced for this?
I will contact any agency I can contact with to advocate a being bullied consumer's right. Thanks for your helping.
