can not produce what they promise
This company cannot produce what they promise. I ordered a front entry way for my home and was promised it would be installed in 10 weeks. After 20 weeks had past and now it was winter I started calling them 2 & 3 times a week. I reported them to the BBB mid January. I told the BBB that now I wanted my deposit returned because they broke there contract with me and that they were putting my son through hell as well with his order. Finially they sent me a check but the first one was rubber. After that I would only accept a bank check, which I finially received in Feburary. Mind you my order was placed in August. My son went to contract with them last April and still does not have everything he has ordered. They are the worst company ever! Stay away from them.

Warped Door
We purchased custom sliding doors for our bedroom from Elegant Entires well over 1 1/2 years ago and one of the doors is warped and rubbing on the other. We could not paint the door since it will have to be re-painted due to the rubbing white is causing a black line horizontally on the door. Elegant Entries was contacted about the situation immediately and it took them almost 3 months to send someone to look at it. We were then told someone would repair? How do you repair a warped door? We have not received any contact from Elegant Entires regarding rectifying the situation. We have called their service department numerous times and always get an answering machine message and they never return calls. We went to the location we purchased the doors from and requested a supervisor or executive's name that we could speak to about this. We contacted Elegant Entries service headquarters in Dix Hills, NY and again left a message for an executive of the company and again no return phone call. I called again today 6/25/10 and again received voice mail in the Service Dept. I spoke with a very nice receptionist who apparently is getting the brunt of all the complaints since I have spoken with her before. Of course, Larry the service technicician was not avaiable. He never is. I wonder if he really exists? I have never been given such a run a round on a repair/replacement of an item that we paid a substantial amount of money for. Apparently, Elegant Entries is in the business to take your money and not stand by their products when there is a problem.

Does not stand behind their website
Elegant Entries does NOT STAND BEHIND their website guarantee elegantentries.com/guarantaee which states "Peace of Mind" Guarantee. There aren't a lot of words to our guarantee, so there's no "fine print." This is it: WE OFFER OUR UNCONDITIONAL GUARANTEE ON ALL OUR PRODUCTS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP. IT's THAT SIMPLE." signed Gary Arcieri, President of Elegant Entries. That unconditonal guarantee is WORTHLESS!!!. When my storm door lock broke on my Elegant Entries door, I first emailed them. No reply whatsover (oh, yes, there is a spot if you want them to come to your home to sell you a new door or window). Then I telephoned them at their 1-866-597-4000 number and was told that the Unconditonal, Peace of Mind Guarantee is good for only one year. Not believing that, I telephoned their Deer Park, NY location directly and was told that they would send someone out to fix the lock, but for $75 for just coming to the house, plus parts. Again, they tried to scam me. The lock that is in the door

is a Marks lock, and Marks locks (Amityville, NY) replaces all parts without cost or hassel, no questions asked. Again, Elegant Entries was trying to rip me off. I contacted Better Business Bureau, and they told me that since the Elegant Entries website doesn't say "Lifetime Guarantee", there is nothing they can do about it. I WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ELEGANT ENTRIES AGAIN. BEWARE BEFORE YOU BUY. There are a lot of good, honest dealers out there...unfortunately Elegant Entries is not one of them!

Garage & Entry Doors
I've been waiting for my doors for 5 months and now they told me I might have to wait another month or so. I think they're going out of business and coming up with stories so we won't get our deposits back until they file for bankruptcy. The store I ordered my doors from closed down without notice and nobody has tried to help me. They came up with 2 different stories, first they blamed the delivery trucks now they're blaming the manufacturers. Is everybody out to get them or are they out to get us??? I've tried calling V.P. GARY RAGUSIN but he won't return my calls and I can't even leave a voice message for owner GARY ARCIERI. I think we should all get together and write to one of the NEWS channels or papers, or get a lawyer involved. It's quite simple give us what we paid for or give us are money back!!! Took my deposit and won't return it
It is 6 weeks since my order was cancelled due to Elegant Entries not being able to deliver my door. Since then not only have I not been able to get my deposit back...I can't even get someone to return my phone calls and voicemail messages.
