My grandmother had multiple mialoma and her health was starting to deteriorate. She spent many days and months in the hospital but when she would return home she loved to go out with grandpa and friends. While grandma was in the hospital this last time he went to The Scooter Store to purchase a scooter. The ads make it sound like you can get them at no costs through Medicare very easily. Not the case. Unless you plan to pay for it yourself then I wouldn't even waste your time going. My grandfather took out his savings and still paid for one that he picked up on 3/30/11. Grandpa brought the scooter in the hospital to show my grandmother and she was so excited. It then went to their house and sat. Grandma never returned home to use it. She passed away May 24, 2011. Since her death we have been going through things and getting them in order. When my grandfather called The Advocates at the Scooter Store they told him they only have a 30 day return policy and sorry but he could not return it. When I called I was told there was no one higher to talk to except the President and that if grandpa would have called them within the 30 days to let them know he may want to return it then he would have been given another 10 days. Seriously, my grandmother is dying and they tell me we need to call them to extend the return period. Not happy. Discourage anyone from dealing or buying from these insensitive jerks.
