100% pure scam, stay away
I subscribed to this website almost two months ago on the free membership. Almost inmediatly I started to received emails from some of the members. This website says that they are very selective with the members and not everybody is accepted. I was hesiteting about paying the full membership of $137.99 but I was hoping on meeting someone and start a relationship. I was having lots of emails (at the end of the 2 months I had more than 100 emails) but I couldn't read them because the free membership didn't allow to read them. When finally decided to pay for the membership I never received anymore emails, I reply to all the members that had emailed me and no one reply me. I also found out that some of the profiles had the same information. I contacted one of the owners and he told me that it could have fake profiles, but they had more than 300, 000 profiles and they couldn't tell wich one was fake. After 4 days of had payed I requested my refund, I had sent 3 emails to the support area and they haven't even reply. They mislead do not make the same mistake as me do not pay for something that is not fair.

Fake
I signed up with Elitemeeting.com sometime last year. The minute my profile was 'approved' emails came flooding in. Great, I thought. Handsome guys with well-to-positions/status. Of course they being silver members meant I had to PAY/Subscribe to read their/my email.
I pondered for a while, didn't do a scam search, thought what the heck? I paid £134 ish. I read the emails, replied to all. I'd say 50% responded with pretty empty responses. Then that was that.
A friend of mine recently told me that a friend of hers had joined this brilliant dating site and was dating the most wonderful man. I asked her to get me the name. Low and behold it was Elite! Could they have changed? Should I give benefit of doubt? I signed up again a few weeks ago. Wait for it... I have 34 emails but have only been views 29 times... You do the maths. Do people really email to express interest in you and not even look at your profile? I don't think so. By the way the guys get more and more handsome and younger with each unread email. How hard will 'Tai' try if that's his real name to his hands on your money? All I can say is best of luck to my friend's friend. I am not prepared to take the risk again... You have been warned. scam scam scam
this site is very much a scam. the pictures and the profiles are all fake. I was told that this was "elite" in that the people on it were handsome/beautiful or rich, however they ask for a huge amount of money just to check your messages.

i suggest a free site like "beautifulpeople.com" where you are actually judged by your pictures and the people are real.

On Line Dating
This site is a complete SCAM! Yes, I got suckered into "upgrading" since you needed to do that to read the emails you are getting from "Cream of the Crop" dating pool. So I upgraded...here is what you will discover once you get access and open your inbox.
The emails are all pretty much the same but from different people. 1-2 vague sentences about what they are doing. And when you email them...NO RESPONSE! I emailed the CEO and NO RESPONSE! I submitted an email to Dateline NBC. Maybe they can do an expose on this site and the people who run this scam! I read these comments after I had already paid. So too late, but I am calling my bank to file a complaint and get my money back. So wish me luck!!!

scam
I signed up for this dating service because they give you the impression that they scrutinize and verify their members for income level, attractiveness, success etc. It is a pricey site so I figured it must attract only people that can afford it. That was a good first sign as far as I'm concerned. I didn't pay to join at first but received approximately 30 emails in the meantime from men that wanted to make contact with me. Because I hadn't paid yet I wasn't able to read them, just see the pictures and read the profiles. Several of the men had different levels of membership so I had to join at least the silver level in order to read what they wrote. This was $70 per month plus one time "initiation" type fee. My curiosity and lack of dates got the best of me. The first few emails that I opened generally had one line of intro or a question. After I opened about 10 of them it struck me that several of the "men" made similar statements just phrased a little differently. Such as "I haven't been on a dating site in years, what do you think" or "I was just running out the door but wanted to make contact". By the time I had gotten through them all my heart sank because my instincts told me that I had been "taken". Of course "no refunds" is clearly posted all over the site so I knew I was out the $140.00 which blessedly is not the difference between life and death but still if I can save one person the money and alert the rest of the public that would make the expenditure worthwhile. The only person I had contact with more then once after I responded to ALL the emails in the box, was one of the owners that I contacted to make sure that I am not automatically billed on a monthly basis which is their policy unless you cancel. Just an FYI I found NOWHERE on the site to cancel future payments. Interesting huh? I still check the site almost daily to see if any of the other "members" responded to my emails. Not one has and no new emails have surfaced since I joined. I bet there will be several in my in box AFTER my membership expires next month. I'm not angry but I feel duped and although fairly savvy I feel like I was taken advantage of in a situation that is already of a delicate nature. Buyer beware, indeed.
