I had a office visit today and was seen by Dr.Botsford. Since 2008 I have had loss of sensation, numbness and tingeling and some pain in my left leg on the back side which start's at my buttox all the way down to the middle of my middle toes. I had seen a different doctor who treated me for 2 yrs for Degenitive Disc Disease and my symtoms got better with medication(Nurontin) but my primary Doctor wanted me to see a Nuerologist to rule out all the bad things, except when I went for my appointment Dr. Botsford told me that the only problem I had was that I was FAT. I'm not kidding, Dr. Botsford(who is heavier then me) showed me my MRI and said "see how much fat you have, that's what's causing you, your numbness and pain". Trust me I know I have extra weight since having my children but I have lost 36 lbs since april of 2010. I don't quite see why my weight(199lbs) is causing my numbness and pain in my left leg. I am so Embarressed because now he is sending all the doctors I see a letter explaining that I'm FAT!
