A person calling himself Fred Dixon called me saying he was from a place called Emerald Solutions and that while they could not grant me a student loan, they could approve me for a $5000 personal loan at the rate of 6% fixed for 5 years. This was not the same company to which I applied for the student loan. Sounded too good to be true of course. The person who did not fall for the scam from this phony place calling themselves Emerald Solutions should consider themselves lucky. I sent almost $800 the first time and they said because the insurance policy underwriters would not accept my credit that they would need an additional $800. Against my better judgement I sent it via Western Union again based upon the promise the money would be in my bank account on a certain date. When the money was still not deposited on the date promised, I called and they wanted yet another $1600 sent on the promise they could guarantee me a $10, 000 loan. Unfortunately as bad as I hate to admit it, I know I have been took. Today is the day they promised to refund the money into my bank account and when I call the number which is listed as the same number the other person reportedly called when they tried to reach Emerald Solutions, 1-877-430-9522, all it says is Goodbye. There was even supposedly a woman named Claire Warner who they were claiming was the one handling and then denied the loan because of my credit. I even had to send the money to that name. The last person I talked to had a supposed name of Peter Hudson. There was one more I cannot remember. PLEASE READ this and beware. They prey on people like myself who do not have the greatest credit record and they know how desperate times are. It's such a shame they cannot be stopped. I know I should have known better, in fact did at the time, but I have 4 kids and it was right before Christmas so I borrowed the money to send them and now the people I borrowed it from are the ones who are suffering as well.
