My car was brought in for service on the oil pan gasket, timing belt, camshaft seals and was charged $708.54, also including front brake pads and labor an additional $150.00. I brought my car home and my brake lights did not work. I brought the vehicle back to them and they fixed it. They said it was the fuse and they replaced it and of course charged me. My lights kept blowing out and I find they installed the wrong type of fuse. I let it go.
A month later I brought it in cause the car would not turn over and I asked them distinctly to check the alternator and they said they did and it was alright and that the problem was the battery. So a new battery with installation was $84.95. I opened my hood to just check it out and I found one of there long screwdrivers stuck in between the cables. I called them to tell them they made a mistake about the battery and all they could say was oh.
The latest incident was my car just died and had to have it towed and emeralds towing was the tow company I had to use. I knew but had no choice left it there on a Sunday. They said it was my timing belt and that whoever worked on my car before really messed it up. They also said they had to replace the water pump cause thats what the book said to do. They said the total would be $740.00. I said do not replace the water pump. I asked my roommate to handle it cause I couldn't without getting myself probably thrown in jail and they conned him into the timing belt and crank pully and still charged him even more which was $788.00.
I found my receipt for the timing belt the first time and called them and asked how long a timing belt should last and he said 60, 000 miles and I said I have a receipt for them doing the job and his answer was we are new owners. They have none of the same people there. Well the guy who screwed up the fuse was still there working away. Trust me. They are ripoff mechanics and have no idea what they are doing.
