Okay - so here's the update.
I called Emery Cat this morning and he pulled up my order. My first question was, " how much is shipping for one?". He replied " $7.95 for one". I asked " then why was I charged $15.90 on my order?" He said "you ordered a set". I said " no, I just ordered one". He said " that's the deal, it's buy one get one free, just pay s&h for both". I said " no, I just want one". He said, "you can't buy just one". I said, "OK CANCEL MY ORDER, I don't want any". He said, " okay, I'll cancel your order and put you in for one". I said, "oh, so I can order just one". He said " not normally, but I can do that for you today".

So allegedly my order will now be $27.90. He couldn't give me a new order number since he said it's not in the system yet but I can check later on today online. And he wouldn't give me a cancellation number for my first order, said it's just the original order number.

Great, I'm probably going to receive 4 of these now! This company is nuts, major deceptive, and downright crooked.

I read complaints against the selling of this product on line. Usually before you press submit, your bill comes up for this product and you can press submit or not and get out of the website. I went to this site, not believing any of the complaints, I have never had this happen to me before. I wanted this product for my cats. When you buy or click to buy this product a number of windows come up asking you if you want an "upgrade" to buy another product with this product. I clicked the "no thank you" for each upgrade, and up popped a page thanking me for my purchase of a cat board and a de shedder and a BOGO with an additional charge of 7.95. Something I never asked for. I felt stupid for not believing the complaints and robbed. I hope to cancel Monday morning and follow my credit card statement later. By the way I found this product on the harrietcarter.com site for 25.50.

The order page advertised the price of $19.95 for 2 emery cat boards + $7.95 shipping, total. When I clicked on PURCHASE, the confirmation page showed the price as $19.95 + $15.90 shipping for a total of $35.85. I tried to call the customer service number, but they were closed. I have a feeling I will have to cancel my credit card before it is charged. I knew the second I saw the confirmation page of my order that I had been ripped off. They doubled the shipping charge of $7.95, when they advertised $7.95 to ship both boards.

When I scanned the confirmation page, the bottom part of the page is X'd out (see below) which is where the overcharges are listed. I still have a hard copy if I need to fax it or mail it.

I ordered an emery cat board $19.95 plus 7/95 for shipping.

I was charged $86.70! I called the order is not in the system then they give me a bogos customer order status.com

I placed an order in May 2009. Approximately 6 weeks later, I received a postcard that the items to be shipped would be delayed. If I still wanted them, I was to sign the card and send it back. Otherwise, the order would be cancelled. I decided to cancel the order and did not return the card (which I still have). Six months later (November), I saw a charge by Emery Cat on my credit card. I called them and learned that they had shipped the CANCELLED order. I refused the package so that I would not need to pay shipping and handling for the return. They credited me partially for the return but did not credit me for the shipping and handling charge OR FOR STATE TAXES (which, I am guessing, is probably illegal).
